Re: Model M SSK Case
Great job on the 3D printing! But then again, Unicomp (eventually and hopefully in the next 3 years) will begin selling their minis. They will also have their cases sold as parts. Going by their current pricing for the model M cases, they are likely to be in the range of 20 to 30 USD. Given this, I...

Re: Model M SSK Case
Noted down, thanks for the suggestion. My original idea was do an exact replica of the original one, but all ideas are welcome. I was thinging, even colors would be a funny option: black, industrial gray, brown, yellow... maybe even translucent. By the way... what type of plastic did IBM used? ABS+PC?

Hello Everyone, have been a lot of time since I wrote something here. Have never been so active, but Some weeks ago, meanwhile I was trying to give some order to some old folders on my PC, I found this old project, I was working on for several years in my free time: the CAD model of the legendary SS...

This beauty and his twin I own are equipped with one stem keycap (integrated stem) that are really hard to find, expecially the keys for the integrated numpad. Just a stupid question... Did you try to swap the key-frames between keyboards? The fault should move together with the faulty component.
Never give up... I think Unicomp and/or ClickyKeyboard still have cables, keys, keycaps and membranes.

Thank you for having reported reparation results. It was kind from your side.

Soarer, thanks a lot for the links. :) There are severall ways to indicate in Italian the nut-driver: "cacchiadadi" (nut remover), "chiave a tubo" (tube key), "giradadi" (nut twister). But Googling for it is a little complicated: almost all results are metric. If I try to refine the search by indica...

IBM Model F screws
I recently got an IBM Model F. Feel and click is even better than the Model M! Now it's time to clean it carefully.... I thought that screws on the back should be 5.5mm as the model M but they aren't. It's sure not metric eigther, because the M6 hex-screwdriwer appears to be too little, while the M7...

Soarer's code could run on the right Dev-Board (or on the right fake as you call it).
Just googled out one for you: http://www.ladyada.net/products/atmega32u4breakout/
Authress also explain what led to build it. But still best price is Teensy one
