Re: SGI "Granite" 9500900 review (Alps SKCM White Dampened)

Perhaps the SEXIEST Alps based keyboard, that was ever made. Would still choose that over any other keyboard made today, if I was ever that fortunate in having a choice at all. Although that off-white coloured space bar, would OCD me to death. Would most probably spray it with a plastic paint coatin...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

First impressions: - Sound: a class of its own. Not for everybody. I expected it from what I remember from the F-AT and YouTube clips. But ... wow - hearing it in person give this keyboard SUCH a vocal presence. Do I recommend it? It is probably not ideal for gaming and for office work it is probab...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I apologize if this is a question that is answered frequently, but I'm not exactly active on here anymore and I'm just curious when I might expect delivery of my board. I ordered back in July 2017. Don't personally expect to see My F77 till 2023 or much later sometime :D . Suspect due to what is ha...

Re: Unicomp SSK delayed, new Model M design coming

I don't care about the customization fee, if they have a route to a 103-key board, they have a route to my business! Agreed. Time for a REAL Keyboard here with all the goodies supplied. Then it's a bought item without haste. Although now in the US everything is kind of weird and strange, so hanging...

… perhaps even a bit too quickly: Now my order has been registered (on their website after contacting them) where as before I made the purchase as an 'anonymous customer', which they had provided. My fault in the end, rather than theirs. They kept all the order numbers on their books but where puzz...

DIY, man. Hotswap, aluminium, 65% with Mac theme caps = custom. I'd look at Rama's M65-B with Oblique caps. Would be super expensive, but his boards are engineered very well. That said, this forum is mostly focused on vintage keyboards. You could try a vintage Mac keyboard like the Apple M0116. ;) ...

Your keyboard actually arrived with the first container shipment last year and is in hand. Onya, Good to hear and am very happy it's in your House of the Model-F series :D . I'd be happy to ship your keyboard in the next week or so (including the original IBM XT keys you ordered) with the new print...

Don't mind as long as the order doesn't go missing altogether and no one from your factory actually has LOST the paym...

Thanks Elrick. MX is a flawed design, though, and there's only so long before people start thinking about if there could be something better than MX switches. You can only go so far with such a design. Indeed but that switch hasn't arisen yet onto the retail market. Keep hoping there will be someth...

Re: Reproducing Alps Keycaps (IC)

Given that Tai-Hao has double-shot Alps molds they are using for their ABS keycaps, why couldn't they make double-shot PBT caps with those? Are the molds non-interchangeable for different plastics? I don't like slippery keys. I think ABS has the best feel, but ABS gets shiny ... And you can change them in time. That's the glory of the Cherry MX style. AT101 Alps profile. For stabs, MX mount/Matias are probably the best option. I will have to do more research on that, and ask around to see if there are any other choices. The huge Bezel size is what attracts all those that appreciate the importance of this design. Having som...
