Fwiw I just replaced a switch on my matias quiet click, it was like a 10 minute job, theres 2 screws on the back and the rest of the top is held in by clips. I wasted much more time trying to take the switch apart with toothpicks based on chyrosans video about servicing the switches and cleaning ben...

well i just pulled the trigger on the 98 key clicky in black, too hard to pass up this combination of unique layout and switch.

my quiet click has begun chattering on 2 keys, its weird though its intermittent and it wont happen for days at a time, and then it will chatter like crazy for a while then stop or alternately not work at all, like ill press the key down and nothing happens, or it ill press c and it will make ccc. i...

im not sure if its compatible with alps, but there were 3 keyboards in that test, the last one, the white board was the matias, tactile pro i think. it makes a very nice noise when you type on it.

a foam and foil of unknown make, it was a long time ago and when it died i threw it out.

i have fond memories of it though, it had a very nice key feel.

Interesting, it would be nice if the wedge on the slider was hinged at the top and held out by a very light spring such that it would force the click bar outwards on the down stroke but be pressed back into the slider on the upstroke eliminating that secondary click.

lol they make it sound so fancy. i think its gonna be like harder to press where your index fingers are, and easier on the pinkies right? they do a very bad job of explaining what it is.

I had that keyboard and didn't have chatter on any keys, I wound up returning it and getting the z-88 which also does not have chatter. If you got it on Amazon if def return because that sounds bad if it's on multiple keys.

the f keys never bothered anyone, they just hang out on top of your keyboard out of the way, waiting until they're needed, selfless as they are.

i got a matias quiet click mini, its very nice. quiet, but not too quiet, pleasant sounding. good crunchy feeling keys and a aesthetically pleasing appearance.

i got a kensington pro fit full size, its very good 15 bucks on amazon. its big and comfortable.
