Thanks to all but you can just skip me. I was lucky enough to be on the 002's Realforce tour so I had a try of a real board in action. Please send to the next guy/gal. Sorry that I did not reply earlier. Probably my fault but I honestly do not remember getting any messages. Sorry if I've held up the...

Works just as any normal USB keyboard would. On my Mac when I first plugged it in I got a wizard that asked me to press some keys on the keyboard (just follow the on-screen prompts). After that it just configured itself as a US keyboard. Works great.

Just replicated this mod last night. To my incredible surprise it worked first time - I thought that my not-yet-that-proficient soldering skills would let me down. A very big thanks to Soarer for the excellent instructions and the Teensy++ to Teensy mod, Fossala for the write-up and Hasu for the ori...

The board is now off to rhizo (also in the UK). I've used a recorded delivery service and it has got a good level of insurance so all should be well for the next leg of the euro tour. Again, many thanks to 002 for the opportunity to try the board.

Forget about Jupiter or anywhere else, the keyboard is heavy enough here. I'm hoping to get this sent out tomorrow. I'll confirm when done. Overall, I think the construction quality is fantastic and the keycaps have a great feeling and look good. The Topre switches feel much better than a rubber dom...

I have the actual keyboard and I am unable to verify if he did or not. Cosmetically it is perfect and since I am now using it as my driver at work (using it now to type this) it appears to be fully functional. You say he is probably joking and before I had the keyboard I would have been inclined to ...

Thanks dirge - keyboard arrived today, and of course to 002. I will have thorough test and post a review. First impressions, it is super heavy. Just a bit of background - board at the office is a G80-3000 MX Blues and at home using a Filco TKL also with Blues.

Thanks dirge, hopefully it will be waiting for me at the office when I get to work on Monday. I'll be requesting the address of the next keyboard lover later next week.

Was glued to the TV yesterday. Fantastic result and the one that we all wanted - Wiggo winning the GC, Froome coming in second and Cav getting the final stage sprint. The Euro football was rubbish so it was brilliant for us to get this one. Anything we get in the Olympics will be a bonus. I'll be lo...

I found both of you guys is from UK, it is good for work together without time differences and language barrier :) The only effort from my end was providing the hardware and edit some of the keymaps. I would suggest that if you get a Cherry MX based keyboard, do not get a UK layout, go for the US (also called ANSI) since it will be much easier if you want to change keycaps. The Keyboard co also stock US layouts. As for actual recommendations, I suggest a Filco with blue switches: http://www.keyb...

There are a bunch of guys who love the Topre switches but after bagging a HHKB Pro 2 I felt a little disappointed - thank goodness I did not pay full whack from EK. I love the BS switches on my Model M - they are so much crisper, tactile and have just the right amount of resistance. My Model M just ...

I've tried using the HHKB Pro 2 and I think it is overrated. Sure, the form factor is pretty cool but I think the switches themselves are nice but definitely not worth the premium. if they were the same price as Cherry MXs, I might put it in second place behind blues or maybe third behind reds. To m...

My personal favourites are the Cherry MX blue switches and I find them much better than the 45g topres. Like RC-1140 described with the BS switches, the blues have a sharp actuation point which make them feel very crisp and responsive. BS springs are also fantastic but require more force to actuate ...
