Help identifying this WYSE board?
From my dump of saved pictures, and I think this was from someone I was communicating with last year on Discord but a bunch of conversations are from people that have since deleted their account so I can't be 100% sure. I had It saved as "WYSE non-terminal". I've done some Google image searches and ...

Re: Vintage MX Blacks - smoothness due to use, manufacture or something else?
Worn blacks vint blacks are ridiculously smooth though If wear was the deciding factor, commonly used keys would feel significantly different from rarely used keys. I haven't noticed that, and my finest keyboards have been in pristine condition. That has been my experience as well, I've now broke d...

Re: Vintage MX Blacks - smoothness due to use, manufacture or something else?
Just to clarify I don't mean the differences between vintage MX blacks and ones that are made after 1994 (but before the retooling from a few years ago). I mean differences among vintage MX blacks themselves

Vintage MX Blacks - smoothness due to use, manufacture or something else?
I've done a decent amount of searching and it seems like this is either controversial, or no real consensus on what makes the vintage (pre-1994 or whatever) blacks smooth - is it due to heavy use or variance in manufacturing? At some point I've even read comments where the person replying admitted a...

Simple, blue alps that came from taobao, and had been lying in some chinese junkyard submerged in mud and dirt. some of the absolute worst switches I have ever had, both in feel and condition. The shade of blue on them (almost a greyish on some of the switches) makes it look like they are real SKCM...

This is my experience so far with SKCM blue- the switches feel very smooth, very slightly smoother than SKCM orange though I think I would need to do a back and forth comparison between the two to notice that difference. Also on my M0116 they are not as forgiving to off center keypresses and requir...

Filco Zero keysets (Alps)
I'm looking for advice from Filco Zero owners on what some current options are. I'm getting one that has a bit of shine on the caps, so I'd like to replace them eventually. My preference is for black with printed legends, just like the stock keys. Though I'm flexible and something like a Dolch looks...

Ellipse- sorry if this is a question you get asked often - will this be a limited edition, ie once the final run is completed this project is done for good or are there plans to continue production or have someone else take over? The reason I ask is twofold, one as a fan of the Model M (growing up m...

It struck me that almost all Alps switches have this second bump (okay perhaps not quite a 'tactile' and obvious event) near the end of the key travel at around 3mm or tiny bit early. Another noteworthy and quite telling observation is, Alps SKCM browns has a really round curve, with its shape almo...
