Re: Best cheap keyboards?

Get one of those Hexgears hot-swappable keyboards from AliExpress and have a great time trying out different switches. People often sell leftover switches for cheap. If you can get around 30-40 of one kind, that's enough to put them on the letter keys and really get a feel for them to find out what ...

Re: What's the best modern tactile/clicky switch?

1. If you haven't tried Kailh Box Royals, really do give them a shot. They are the end-all when it comes to sharp tactility (alas only cherished by a few true believers). The will become clicky as factory lube wears off, but who cares - and you're also asking about clickies anyway. You can get the o...

Re: Strange fruit

I've actually been meaning to find some MX compatible modifiers (as mine features those weird wired stabs that are molded into the keycap itself) to put these caps on some of my customs. Dumb? I think the word is "perverse"! Too bad the mods are not compatible or I would have snatched this on...

My point wasn't typing feel at all, but that amazing error rate given a modern-day switch.

Re: How to make the worst switch possible?

Sadly, Matias have had a good shot at it and ruined their reputation in the process... Wym? What Matias switch are you talking about? I'm talking about any "mechanical" Matias switch. They've thus ruined one of the most promising (at least when it was first released) split mechanical keyboards, for...

This Cherry is sick, right? Can't remember ever seeing a thin PBT keycap set with 1.5u mods, especially given that Cherry made G80-3000H...M... doubleshot sets and thick lasered PBT WKL sets... (Why make a new mould for mods when it's clear they're being phased out?)

Re: modernised G80-3000, now in TKL !

Thanks, I'll pass and keep trying to source it from Europe. Yes, I did own a Mini Ergo. As you say, the layout / ergonomics weren't perfect, but what killed it for me was its mind-boggling PIIIIING!! Still, I love it's nineties scifi movie look and think it's definitely one of the sexiest beige keyb...

Re: RollerMouse - your opinions?

I've had three (I think) Rollermice on and off over the years - that should tell you how much I wanted to like them, but have finally concluded they just aren't viable for any kind of serious computer user who isn't absolutely forced to use one due to some sort of handicap. Here's why: - Clicking wi...

Something that I probably could have purchased for very cheap.
Yep - these are 13€. Still, this thing tends to fall over unless you stand it on a small metal plate or something - and yours is waaay cooler!
