Re: Recreating the Lisp keyboard (10 years later)
Oh man, you did God's work. Would be too much to ask for a more detailed talk about the keycap casting process?

Re: ReSKCM - Optical rework, and cloning of Alps SKCM/SKCL switches
Hi. I see you have quite a lot of inspiration and decision to actually do (at least) some really interesting experiments. If you don't mind I would like to suggest another similar switches to put an eye on, like Fujitsu magnetic reed tactile, HTK and ProWorld MX. It's clear that the leaf is the core...

Re: What are your keyboard projects for 2021?
Basically the same as the other members, finish my last year projects, but to give an extended answer which will be less boring, that means either do a rev5 of my endgame keyboard or decide that the rev4 is good enough to go for the construction phase. Some pictures of how the rev4 is going: https:/...

Re: Teclado Mecánico DELL AT102W (OLD GAMING)

Re: Garage find
Ok so I apologize if this is not the place for this but my father in law brought up this "old Keyboard" after cleaning out his garage. I am not a mechanical keyboard enthusiast but a quick search told me he had something special. I am very curious about how these boards are viewed and how I can fin...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
What are we looking at here ? Might this even be useable ? They look a lot like Olympia keycaps, but with a brighter colour. The switches are the weird part, they look like Futaba sealed linear, but the slider looks rounded instead of squared and the pin arrangement is completely different: https:/...

Re: Is it possible to convert IBM Model M flippers to capacitive?
It's not an opinion, I have several spares and keyboards to compare and I can tell you that my "matless" boltmodded model M not only doesn't feel at all like my models F, also feels almost the same as a model M barrel plate and pivot over a PCB. That's not the only experiment you can do, grab any bu...

Re: Is it possible to convert IBM Model M flippers to capacitive?
The problem with using model M flippers is that the feel will be exactly the same, the only advantage is making the keyboard capacitive. Ideally, a bigger flipper results in a crispier switch, so you can just reproduce the classic capacitive flippers or play arround with custom IBM compatible design...

I'm sorry. I'll mention the same thing that hadphone_jack said: Bitcoin's too high. 0.036 BTC is now $687 US. The most expensive sold Model F on US ebay was $355. Don't let me stop you if that's what you wanted, though. I'm just dropping by! Hi. When I first posted it there were only two F 122 keyb...

Re: Was the VT100 keyboard really great or am I just experiencing nostalgia?
If I remember well, the VT100 keyboard has Futaba linear switches, I personally dislike them but some people find them nice. They're smooth, but heavy and have a short travel (around 75% of a normal switch or less). I remember seeing one at work, the keycap profile looked quite nice to be honest. If...
