Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!

https://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large-5/anatomy-regions-of-the-hand-asklepios-medical-atlas.jpg Does the thenar region count as part of palm of the hand? I think "palm keys" in some special keyboard designs are usually located at the outside bottom corner areas of both hands, not on...

I made an SKFF plate for the Televideo TS 803H

The last year I made this plate for my own Televideo keyboard (is not ready because I'm in other projects right now). I also swapped the left shift to have a more ISO friendly layout. I will leave the file if someone wants to do something with it. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/55551497003...

Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!

I "palmtype" when I have to press a key which is in a high row (Mostly numbers) before a space. I developed that weird way to type when I was a kid and my main keyboard was a crappy rubberdome with a giant spacebar.

If you like tiny keyboards so much, why don't you use a TV remote control as your numpad? Or just get a Logitech K600, your lady fingers will be grateful with you

Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!

Nonsense. Why do you want to WASTE the most valuable keyboard real estate with a big ass space bar? You are CONFUSED with historical heritage of old crapy keyboards! It is just the location of the middle of the bottom row where your thumbs are naturally positioned. It is the place where your thumbs...

Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!

I don't use RCtrl for some reason, insert even less. I don't really like that much that long spacebar, but there is no middle point with BS keycaps. Maybe would be better remove the code keycap and add a RCtrl and a proper Alt GR, something else to fill.

IBM model F XT barrel measurements

Hello guys. I want to experiment a bit with the model F (nothing serious, just play arround with a custom plate design). I have barrells from an XT with a broken PCB but unfortunately my measuring tools are a crap. Do someone have an schematic of it or at least a good measurement of the barrel itsel...

I dont know how so many people game on model Ms, the 2kro made me have limited amount of strafing in certain ways in multiple games I've played. The heaviness doesn't help either but that's subjective

Re: Soviet Model F clone with capacitive buckling springs

That plastic thing over the springs should work by the same way as the dots in the original IBM keycaps, right? Maybe you can put it over the original IBM flippers and use the soviet keycaps. Please, at least give it a try with the new foam just to be sure.

Re: Soviet Model F clone with capacitive buckling springs

So it finally came, and it's a bit disappointing, I will say. The keycaps are super wobbly and the switches feel inconsistent. They also don't sound nearly as cool as the real deal. One thing is for sure though - the assembly is very much like a Model F, with XT-like barrels with the posts sticking...

I'm sure it will work fine with all the DMA's stuff. Maybe is a problem of too big tolerances or cheap electronics.

I could try to put the entire logic in a single Arduino, even using QMK, but in any case I have to build the rocket before fly to the moon. Re: Questions about keyboard programming.

A single bouncing can ruin an entire page of text (if I don't add a backspace). Use an USB keyboard sounds great but is quite a mess of code. I would need something that read bit per bid and discard things until it finds an entire reading. Anyway everything sounds easier than what I expect. Un sólo ...

I got all my stuff in local selling sites with no international reachment. It's pretty easy and you can get ridiculously good prices, but you can expend much time waiting for an especific keyboard.
