Why do we need a Discord chat for? Important messages and valuable suggestions would be lost in the noise of everybody taking to one another.

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

I wasn't aware that the cases of 1st generation Models M122 were compatible with Models F122. :o Is it straightforward to do the case swap, or is some modification required?

I have a 1984 Model F122 whose case has small hairline cracks. Doing an easy case swap would be awesome!

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

This NIB Black Model M13 is down to 700 bucks, from its original outrageous 850 dollars.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/373143446700

I received a 650 dollar “offer” from the seller a few days ago. Seems like they’re getting desperate for not selling it, LOL. No surprise given the crazy price tag.

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

Yeah... a few months ago, there was a lovely NOS Gold Badge Northgate OmniKey, listed at the absurd price of 800 dollars. I went as far as offering 500, but the seller didn’t even care to respond. Greedy fucks. The Northgate stayed for sale for a month, and then it vanished. Must’ve been acquired by...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omnikey-102-Blue-Alp-Northgate-keyboard-System-Vintage-New-Box-/303579419858 Interesting to see this 2nd generation Omnikey has blue alps switches. Re: [WTS] NIB SKCM Blue Alps - Chicony 5161 - OPUS technology

I wonder why did this go for only 311 dollars, while a month ago there was a NIB Northgate OmniKey “Gold Badge” on eBay, also with SKCM Blues, which went for over 800 dollars. I remember sending the seller a few messages offering as much as 500 bucks, but he didn’t even care to respond. Oh well... o...

Re: Matias TactilePro v5?

Excellent question! I remember that back in 2017 Matias started selling this "v5" generation of their mechanical keyboards. Even on Amazon they would be listed as "Newly Released Matias Tactile Pro v5" to differentiate them from the standard "v4" that kept being sold simultaneously. I remember the v...

Look no further: Realforce 23UB has all the features you’re asking for. The Topre switches on it are fairly quiet, they aren’t Cherries (yuck!), and that model happens to be black. Build quality is outstanding, as anything Topre makes; and there’s a handy Tab key, as well. Only caveat (and the reaso...

Sticky keys on NOS Northgate OmniKey Plus

Hello guys, A few years ago I acquired a NIB Northgate OmniKey Plus for 200 bucks on eBay. It was manufactured in 1989 and comes with Alps SKCM White switches. Needless to say, I freaking love the feel of this keyboard. Having never tried Blue Alps (they are so scarce and expensive these days), this...

In my case it's the opposite: If this round turns out good enough, I might have to get the F77 as well: Industrial Gray + blank keycaps.
