The keycaps arrived today, thanks to clickykeyboards.

My old style nav cluster is complete at last.

Should I look for some kind of signs of wear or some kind of known quality issues?
Like if there is something obvious in model Ms?

Keys not registering or uneven feel.
You can also just shake it a bit and hear the broken rivets moving inside the case.

Oh and, if you need to open it, the nut ...

I ordered some new ones through Ellipse's store... not sure if he is still accepting orders for new keys.

This is the "hid map" I got from my M122:

As you can see, the hid code you need to remap the central key of the cross arrow nav is 0x93 (LANG_4).

As for the "<" key, I guess your computer expects an US-EN layout, which lacks that key so it produces a strange ...

I think these are bolts. At least my bolt-modded Model M has two bolts exactly in those places.

Yes, the weight measurement includes bolts (x58), nuts (x50) and washers (x50).

The steel plate thickness is 1.0 mm. The same as my 3rd generation 1391405 from late 1992.
