Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Just got my red F77! I think this board has QMK already, but I'll need access to the QMK beta site to do more with it.

SGI keyboard and mouse

I'm looking for an SGI-branded PS2 keyboard and mouse for my SGI O2.

This is to make my O2 functional. I won't be hacking the board into a 40% ortho Dell or whatever the cool kids are into these days.

Thanks!

First keyboard was a Northgate OmniKey of some version. It had dip switches in the back, and, although I can find no evidence this existed, I recall its numpad having a calculator function, along with a LCD screen. Sadly, it died after a lightning strike in 2004 or so.

I would swap the adapter first. Orihalcon's Soarers Controllers (on eBay) are really worth the money, and he ships pretty quick. It will give you full programmability, too, including macros and function layers.

Also, check the plate for broken rivets. You could have a flipper that is out of ...

Here's a gallery of my F restoration:

Check out the bar-clamp method I used to get the plates together. It's a lot less ... percussive... than using a mallet.

This is for the Model F. I thought someone had written a guide for the M 122, that included where to obtain barrel stabilizer inserts, and showed which springs to move where.

Is there a canonical post describing how to ANSI mod an IBM Model M 122 keyboard?

I thought I'd bookmarked it, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm looking to convert the left Shift and right Enter keys into something much more betterer than ISO.

I'm lusting for those Model Fs. I think the top board is a XT 83.

I don't really want to find out what shipping would be for the whole pile, though.

I really, really want to know what happened to Soarer.

If nothing awful happened to him, it'd be really nice of him to bless any type of reverse-engineering effort for his code, or better yet, to release the source code to the community.
