I pulled the SA Maxkeys keycaps off my box royal switches, and they aren't loose on cherry blues, so I am thinking cap thickness has a lot to do with this.

Maybe eventually someone will give it an honest review. Every switch being stabilized has advantages and disadvantages, but I do question WHY they chose to stabilize this way if it only results in squeaky switches xD Potentially, it would result in more stable switches.

I have been known to throw shade at Razer in the past, especially in regards to how the price tag on their stuff does not reflect the quality of the product, but the new switch has me interested.

It could be a million things. Faulty wiring sounds probable, as a failed flash usually tells you it failed.

What are those keycaps? I've been thinking about getting some spherical keycaps for a while but they all seem so expensive, and it's even harder and more expensive to get them in UK layout.

The letter 'A' is also ancient though, as well as most of the rest of the modern alphabet(ancient latin).

I would never complain about S30V, but I understand about not getting what they asked for. S30V is a very good steel, if it is tempered properly and beefy enough. Chips easy though, and the blade profile on the pic looks thin, so that's no good.

Yuck @ seijin dome and slider. However, I really like the look of those keycaps. Such a shame.

I like a good Kershaw knife myself. Tends to have better tempering than spyderco.

The problem is, magnets degrade when used in 'opposing' orientation, so that isn't a viable replacement for a spring.
