Re: Colleagues say my keyboard is too loud...

There are damped tactile switches out there, perhaps you might want to look for those...

This is the last case scenario, though. Try everything above and below first!

Re: How many keyboards?

I think I might've gone three digits now, counting "partial boards" saved up for projects, but not counting the donor boards. For me, the limit's at how much I can store comfortably in my room... My shelf is already at its brim, and I'll be getting a few more keyboards in a few days. Gotta have to b...

Dear all, After a two year break, I dusted off this keyboard, which I purchased back in September 2017. I never really got on with it - the keys feel loose - there is a noticeable rattle. Of course the actual keycaps are a delight, though I need to practice, as my daily for six months has been a HH...

The images aren't loading properly, by the way. GLWS, though you might also want to state what the shipping would be to some countries as a baseline. Shipping to/from Russia is always whacky from my experience.

Some (but definitely not all) Focus and Datacomp keyboards had Alps switches and MX mount stabilizers. Possibly Monterey also.
Oh yeah, I think some of those also have them. I am absolutely not sure which, though... or if even the whole set has MX stab holes.

Re: Help me, keycaps.

Acer have cool keycaps, but I want to try combining cherry stabilisers with alps like on the yuri set, I think it's possible. So what you're looking for is Alps keycaps with MX stabilizers? If that is what you are looking for, your choices are all on modern Alps keycaps, aside from maybe the Taihao...

That is a beaut... I would love to try these switches some day. Seems like it'd be something of my taste. :D

Now the hard part is finding one of these... with a reasonable shipping price... and then space in my room to store it in... that might be hard. :?

Hi, are there any acer 6311/6010 owners amongst you, I'd like to ask what the keycaps are on the shifter, spacebar and so on. Also does anyone know of ansi keyboards with alps + mx keycaps. I think we all are going to need some context based on what you're asking... do you mean the Acer keyboards, ...

Can you even reuse such switches in modern-day keyboards or is it just a collectors thing?
There's a whole niche section of custom mechanical keyboards that support Alps switches, some even supports only Alps switches. I think that answers your question. :)

Can I do anything about the upstroke click of white alps? It's louder on the upstroke than the downstroke. And it can be quite annoying too. Disassemble the switch and look at the click leaf. See the two side tabs? The ones near the bottom tab? Bend those outward so that they're making a slightly o...
