SOLD: Tipro MID-128 with Cherry MX Brown 25 Euro

I'm selling a somewhat modified Tipro MID-128 programmable matrix keyboard. All black switches are desoldered (don't worry, I know what I'm doing) and brown switches are soldered where I needed them. On request I can also solder some brown switches on the remaining places. Oh, and it comes with a bu...

[FS][EU/NL] Tipro MID128 programmable matrix keyboard with partial Cherry MX brown retrofit

As an experiment I removed all Cherry MX blacks from the keyboard and fitted Cherry MX browns where I needed them. This way I could have both the programmable functionality of the Tipro and MX brown switches. The keyboard works a charm, but I am no longer using it as I have built my own keyboard now...

Tipro MID128 Cherry MX brown matrix keyboard

I was cleaning out the cupboards and found a keyboard I had forgotten about. This is a Tipro MID128 matrix keyboard, with all the Cherry MX blacks removed. As an experiment I fitted Cherry MX browns where I needed them. So I could have both the programmable functionality of the Tipro and the proper ...

The Ducky Secret is great! I now click with confidence like I never did before. Finally the scroll wheel is a proper button too. The encoder is also a lot better than on my previous mouse. As it turned out, I ordered a Ducky Secret and received a Ducky Secret M, which is fine by me. Thanks for the g...

looking for a mouse with ALL proper switches, not just the main two

Hi, I'm looking for a mouse with all proper swiches. So far I've found out that most mice only use Omron or equivalent switches for the two main buttons, but not for the middle button and side buttons. I typically use the middle button a lot and the poor quality switches wear out fast. Unfortunately...

Building a keyboard from scratch

Hi guys,

For some years I have been reading this forum. It inspired me to eventually design and build my own keyboard. I have tried to do a comprehensible write-up about it.

And now, without further ado: https://www.geekabit.nl/projects/buildi ... m-scratch/

Cheers,

Cherry mx RGB switches for diy keyboard with backlight

Hi guys, For some time I have been working on a diy keyboard ( https://www.geekabit.nl/projects/keyboard/ ). The current prototype is workable and I'm currently thinking about the next prototype. One of the cool things I'd like to add is RGB backlight. So I bought some Cherry MX RGB switches on AliE...

Right thumb mostly (I'm right handed), unless I can type a word using only my left hand, like 'database' or 'test'. Then I use my left thumb. This is a bit of a problem since I mapped the left half of the spacebar (split spacebar) to enter.

But in case they don't want to, we could try to design and 3d print something ourselves, maybe even start a kickstarter...

There is too little time already to see al the talks you want to see AND have a chat with all the interesting people AND have have a look ...

buckling spring switch for diy keyboard

Does any of you know if there is a buckling spring switch that can be used in a diy keyboard design? I like the way a Cherry MX switch can easily be incorporated in your own designs, but I like the clickiness of a buckling spring switch. I have thought about cutting up a Model M keyboard, but there ...

To build my own keyboard has been a dream ever since I started reading deskthority/geekhack. I finished the design on paper a long time ago, but I could never get the hang of 3d modeling software. You need one of those designs before you can have anything produced, so I was stuck. When I came across...

There is a link to the blender files on the first page of this thread. But where is fn? I'd put them either side of the space bar if I weren't already so used to using my thumbs for Command on the Mac. Prime real estate! You are right. I placed the Fn keys next to the spacebar. These are my most frequently used modifiers so they're easy to reach with your thumb. The c...

My keyboard has a split spacebar. The righthand half acts as spacebar while the lefthand half is mapped to enter. fn + I J K L = arrow cluster. I love this! Sounds like a nice project. Modding can be tricky. The switches are plate mounted, so you can't open the switches without desoldering afaik. On my mid128 I desoldered all Cherry blacks and swapped 'em for Cherry browns.

Thanks for the link.
Isn't the usb keyboard spec limited to 6kro? I believe that is the reason why some are using a usb composite device with multiple keyboard devices to increase the number of keys before roll over. I was wondering if you were using the same method to get nkro on a usb keyboard.
