Re: QWERTZ SA Caps

I got the SA set from Keyboardco too, but I can't decide if I like them or hate them. They feel noticeably different than a keycap set with a full SA profile with different row heights. I've had them for about three weeks now, and it was only yesterday that I did not instantly notice that they weren...

Re: Alps keyboard: Matias, Custom or Ebay??

I've got both the full-size Matias keyboard with clicky switches as well as the weirdo 65% bluetooth Matias keyboard with linear switches. The enjoyment and experience typing on them is like night and day. The clicky switches with their ultra-thin PBT keycaps feel and sound both cheap and uninspired...

Re: QWERTZ SA Caps

Hey, I'm on the lookout for a set of SA Caps in German ISO Layout. Would have to be fullsize with F-Keys. Preferrably something kickass like these Round 5/6/7 caps, haven't seen many in QWERTZ layout yet sadly. :( There's a new SA keyset available for purchase on Massdrop until the end of May. It i...

Re: QWERTZ SA Caps

They are in SA uniform R3 profile, made by Signature Plastics for Filco. The sets are pretty nice and decent, unfortunately only black for ISO-DE. I would have never guessed that these were SA profile, as the product description is really vague: The keycaps are taller, more rounded and heavier then...

Re: Modern Beamspring? - The Silo Beam Switch

We'll be making the switches available and around when the keyboard launches we'll also have a reference design so people can design custom keyboards. It'll be based around atsam4s (ARM Cortex-M4). If the ANSI board is a success, would you consider making an ISO board later on? Congratulations on t...

You can put me down as another ISO-DE user. I'm willing to wait for keycap sets that fit my needs. No matter how nice an ANSI set is, I won't enjoy typing on it, so I ignore it. There's not a day that goes by when I'm not thankful for 7bit making his awesome SA keycaps in ISO with full international...

I have a Beamspring as my primary keyboard at the moment, but it took my quite some time (and money) to get it to the point where the layout is perfect for my daily use.
Can you explain how you got the capacitive sensors calibrated? Was it difficult to do? How easy was it to use the software?

HSD 10CPI is the living embodiment of crappy Commodore 64 dot matrix printouts of my childhood. Back in the days of the Commodore 64, it was magical to see the words from your screen turned into a hard copy from a dot matrix printer. The digital world turned physical. I think 3D-printer users get t...

[WTB] SA Keycaps with NorDeUK Keys (for ISO-DE)

I am looking for a nice set of SA keycaps from Signature Plastics.
My only requirement is that it includes the NorDeUK keys to make an ISO DE layout possible.

Do you have a set? In good condition? Gathering dust? Send me a PM. Let's talk.

Or do we need to wait a year or two before they come out?

I really like the idea of a switch with a Cherry MX stem and center lighting. This is much better than what one large manufacturer is doing to get the same effect.

If you move that switch to XT (then plug the keyboard back into your computer, and ...
