Re: Who makes large keyboards with many additional keys?

You could check out the Sun Type 7 . Has USB, cheaper-looking keycaps and is still a rubber-dome keyboard but the rubber domes feel different: are not as mushy.
I did not mind using one at work instead of my mech keyboard with Cherry switches.

BTW, how do you use the Sun Type 5? Have you got the ...

Take a look at Tipro, Cherry MX Black would be quieter than buckling spring, kbdfr is our resident expert on the brand: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?p=439273#p439273

Thanks for that one, I have never heard of it. Looks like the base keyboard with an extension might be what I'm looking ...

Who makes large keyboards with many additional keys?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is any company that still makes decent keyboard with a comfortable layout and some additional keys.
I use a Model M at home and at work and I also have PC-122 and a Sun type 5. They are all good keyboards but all three have some drawbacks for me: the Model M and PC-122 ...

I have two 1391401s made in UK too, Built in 89 and 90, both with PBT space bars.
The 1396790 is from 95, has a blue IBM logo and a grounded ABS space bar (sounds different)

Etikettenentferner works fine, the sticky residue from the cable is gone.
The color is still a bit yellow but that is probably due to aging.

Seems like GooGone is something to remove labels and sticky residue from labels.
I have a similar spray (Etikettenentferner, smells like oranges), I'll give that a try.

I've got no clue what active ingredient is, the label lists ">30% Orangenterpentene" and not much else (besides a few large ...

cleaning coiled cable

Hello,

I'm cleaning a keyboard (IBM Model M 1396791, US/ANSI '95).
Soapy warm water was sufficient to clean the case and keycaps but the cable is fairly dirty.
Soap and warm water didn't help much. The non-coiled part is clean by now (scrubbing) but for the coiled part I might need a solvent.

Is ...
