Re: Separating keyboard from PC

If both components go to a good home it doesn't matter to me if they go to the same home. I'm not the seller so perhaps they don't see it that way. Either way, see if someone wants the PC either to repair theirs or because they don't have one yet, then everyone will get something that they will actu...

Re: Who makes large keyboards with many additional keys?

you might try getting an omnikey. If the switches are too loud you can always swap them for something quieter. Failing that a macropad would be a good solution.

Re: Computer Reset Conundrum

This is most definitely a one-off scenario. Are you sure about that? I have heard different. Honestly though, this thread is you complaining about people not liking your shitty behaviour and your only response is to say it was shitty but not as shitty as everyone says. That's not a good defense, es...

Re: Computer Reset Conundrum

Not trying to suggest you're dodging taxes lol, just a heads up since you mentioned not having all your records together presently. its a terrible idea to rely on getting your receipts together later as you will likely loose something in the mean time, it is much safer to keep accurate and timely re...

Re: Computer Reset Conundrum

it was a LIQUIDATION I highly doubt you could have gotten banned from a liquidation unless you were behaving pretty badly. It is entirely possible that you misunderstood what the intent of the sale was, but I find it hard to believe that it took getting banned before you understood that your behavi...

Sounds likely an easy enough fix that I could do it for free. I have plenty of parts too so you'd be good there. PMd.

Its very pretty nonetheless, if you are able to pop a cap to get a picture of the switch that would help with identification.

Re: [IC] ALPSaver case redux prototype

Bit of an update: manufacturer is not equipped to ship anything (they normally produce large parts where shipping is prohibitive anyway, so they aren't actually set up for shipping anything) so I would need to take a day off of work to pick them up. As such, this would be very difficult for me to do...

Interesting that j k l and skip, as well as a s d and f all have homing dishes.
You can also tell someone with long nails was going a lot of numerical input with it based on the wear from the numpad keys. What a cool board

>anyone asks for help >DMA is a bitch needlessly You hate to see it When fn is released del shouldn't be as you only send up codes when the key is actually released. Sending an up code while the key is still down isn't consistent and certainly not how it is done with soarers, I don't remember how it...

[IC] ALPSaver case redux prototype

Before I start, don't get too excited, this is a pre-prototype project and I do not know if/when this will ever move beyond initial prototyping. I have started the process of making a case based on the ALPSaver case and I have hit the part of prototyping where I could start making actual cases. I ha...

Re: [Futaba Sealed Linear] Execuitive Periphial Systems KB-A3

Short SKCC wasn't fitting when I tried but tall SKCC fits in the keys with inserts at least. I don't have any SKFF, but I would very much like to get some in the future. I want to avoid using adapters if I can though, especially MX>vintage adapters as it feels wrong to use modern switches when there...

Re: [Futaba Sealed Linear] Execuitive Periphial Systems KB-A3

I have considered modifying the top case to allow for a top-mount switch plate or possibly making a bottom plate with mounting brackets to allow for a bottom-mount switch plate. If I did that I could put whatever switch I wanted into the board but I am not sure what the best candidate would be. I wo...

If you can get ahold of a royal/triumph typewriter with M9s, those have ~5mm of travel.
