Re: Need help with converting Philips P2812

I have the Corona version of this board and this should help you. https://deskthority.net/wiki/Corona_PPC-400 Also you can attach a pinout to the p2 spot on the board and use an internal converter if you don't have the original cable. What converter did you flashed on arduino? It works with TMK XT ...

Wow it's so clean. How do the keys feel?
They feel like normal blue alps, just a different switch plate colour.

Toshiba Alps Bigfoot

Hi All, I know that a while back that there was a post about Red Alps that were found in a Toshiba Branded Alps bigfoot . I was browsing through some local calssifieds and I came across a Toshiba branded Alps Bigfoot and bought it hoping for clicky Red Alps. I also heard that these can come with lat...

This might be in the right direction but the G4mer keycaps is something that would keep me away from buying this. Looks like they are trying but we shall see what the future of keyboards holds for Cherry.

To quote your IIc listing "The keyboard unit was malfunctioning and has been repaired with new parts." Did you forget the rest of the quote? I can provide it for you here, it went a little something like this: "For any inquiries, please message me with questions." Buyers shouldn't have to go out of...

When you buy a vintage computer on the internet buyers expect to get the original machine with all original parts. If you are modifying the machine from it's original condition then you should go into full detail of what you replaced so that the buyer know the true condition of the machine. I agree ...

Re: Packard Bell Typewriter Switches

Changed URL to get bigger image . BTW. The image looks like it was shrunk slightly on the horizontal. The keys are not perfectly square. There are some switches used for typewriters where you can pull a key and not put it back on again without having to first disassemble the typewriter. (That was n...

Re: NEC PC-8801 mkIIsr with NON Blues

I am guessing that the seller has replaced the switches, as those NEC boards were made before ALPS introduced the white slider. Looking at the PCB i can tell for sure that the switches haven't been desoldered. %90 of Blues came with a grey switch plate, and the Whites only white switch plate. Have ...

Re: Alps Appreciation

The thing is that is I can easily make them feel nice and tactile but I don't know if it's the "correct" tactility. Unless I can have access to a NOS tactile leaf (wondering if it's worth it or if Alps tactiles had this poor tactility out of the box) I don't quite understand your confusion about ta...

Re: The World is going Pro

Great final build and aesthetic! The only thing out of place to me is the spacebar, i'd opt for a more navy blue color bar to fit the rest of your theme better. Do those switches feel like alps? If so, which type? I would guess SKCM black but I'm shooting in the dark here. I think the sb looks cool...

Re: The World is going Pro

Cool, I love unique stuff like this. It's obscure but it has the added bonus of the most popular keycap mount style. IMO the GMK modifiers you used look quite nice with the dye subs. I'd probably go for a different space bar since that color kind of comes out of the blue at you but that's my taste....

The World is going Pro

Hi All, After a year of searching I finally have created the board with one of weirdest switches that has been found the ProWorld switch. ProWorld switches are a unique switch that mixes MX switches and Alps together. https://i.imgur.com/dwWuiKU.jpg https://deskthority.net/wiki/images/thumb/4/41/Pro...

Thanks for posting the back of the PCB from this keyboard.

It depends on what you are looking for via reviews. I think that there is enough reviews out there but most of them will be the same since a lot of keyboards share the same switches. I don't know if this is really that practical in the long run but it's a decent idea. I was thinking something along...

Not sure how hard this would be to implement, but I think it would be nice to have a "reviews" tab on the different keyboard pages. Something along the lines of what the Pentax forums does for their lens database. This way there is an organized area for more subjective thoughts on specific keyboard...
