Re: Best Case/PCB for Alps Switches
Very true most of these boards that support this plate are out of Group Buy though and the amount of money that they go for on r/mechmarket might hurt your wallet. Yeah. Not a lot of economical options for alps customs. What case did you put your h87alps in? I joined the Duck Orino V3 GB a while ba...

Re: Best Case/PCB for Alps Switches
can I just buy any pcb? How do I know if its compatible with alps. Ive never built a board before Nope, you need to look for one that is alps-only or supports both alps and cherry. For example, here's the regular h87a https://hineybush.com/collections/all-products/products/h87a and here's the alps-...

Re: Best Case/PCB for Alps Switches
I bought 110 NOS white alps and I don't know what to do with them. I want them to sound nice and I heard that using small 60% boards make them sound worse. What modern pcbs can I buy that are compatible with alps? I don't care what layout it is within reason anything between a tkl and a 40%. What t...

Re: Packard Bell Keyboard Switches
Good to see this whole board. This type of keyboard is quite rare to collect, especially packard bell. Could you take some photo of switch under Caps lock and space bar? And the label on the bottom case. I need more photo to do some research about this series. thanks There will be not much informat...

Re: Alps Appreciation
Just created a duck Orion V3 with Amber Alps. They are the better switch I think due to the level of tactility and sound over Blue Alps.

If you clean the switches the best you can then replace the top housing then they should turn out really well.

Re: Why are alps keyboards not as popular?
My personal take on Alps is just that I can't be bothered and don't see the point. I don't see the magic with them, although I haven't exactly tried any NOS specimens so I wouldn't know. Besides, I'm starting to appreciate linear switches more. I miss my Pingmaster, but it was so uncomfortable to t...

Re: Why are alps keyboards not as popular?
The main reason it honestly keycaps. Think of it this way, because GMK has been doing all of the fancy colourways that people love and they can do it in a reasonable time frame the more people want to invest into MX based keyboards. Then you have all the other keycap manufactures that are trying to ...

Unless they make either pbs for common custom keyboards I don't see this taking off more than what has already been bought through the kickstarter.

Re: Where is your god of clicks now?! :D
Honestly for compatibility sake, I think that ProWorld switches are very close to Ambers but they are MX mount instead. Therefore, I think that they are top tier/god clicky switch. I still require proof of this statement :D . Honestly for compatibility sake, I think that ProWorld switches are very ...

Re: has the trackball landscape changed in any way lately?
I know that you find that thumb trackball mice are not that accurate but I want to counter that statement with the new Logitech MX Ergo . This is a daily driver at work and use it for very fine micro movements. I did have to replace the standard ball that came with the mouse for a Perixx Peripro-303...

I have a full set of ISO DEC style. I don't know what set you are trying to match originally because not all caps were made using the same colourway. If you can post a picture of the caps that you currently have I can see what I have that matches.

The Televideo 955 is really clean (actually all the boards you posted look nice)! If it was the 1-eyed space invaders, I'd ask you to keep it (someone recently reached out to me looking for those switches). I had a chuckle seeing this on ebay BIN for $199 https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-TELEVIDEO-...
