Re: 8bitdo Retro Mechanical Keyboard
If it weren't for the fact that non split boards make my wrists scream in agony after an hour of use I'd be all over this, really wish they would do a split version.

Re: Cooler Master MS120 review (Cooler Master mem-chanical hybrid)
CoolerMaster should only stay within their limits here. Keep making the HAF styled cases because I love them to bits but stay away, from anything related to KEYBOARDS. Even their mice are somewhat suspect here, eventually fail or break down but their keyboard obsession should be dropped immediately...

Depending on the model you may be able to order a replacement membrane and controller from Unicomp.

rare specimen! pretty sure you could sell off easily if you dont like it. if you have a minute it would be great to know what you think of the switches. Have to wait for the Tinkeyboy adapter to get here. 3-4 weeks from The Philippines to the US. I don't know if I have the patience to wait that lon...

Are they stabilised? That right “Space” key is in for a bad time if I ever typed on it. I hit on its right edge, 90% of the time. Actually, the evidence of recent shine suggests I’m more or less in its middle: https://deskthority.net/download/file.php?id=72778 Still asking for trouble with non-stab...

Re: Cherry ML, does it deserve the hate?
Left is good, though I prefer to split the alphas and have the numpad in the middle. I personally like 75% layouts which remove the nav cluster and instead have a numpad. Perfect best of both words since the numpad has almost the whole ass nav cluster redundant http://www.overclock.net/content/type/...

I daily drove Logitech G15 gen 1 which in sheer width puts all but the widest Model F to shame! Booyeah! Confirmed. https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/900/1*wxD-CFkm_HpqovitVxLPpQ.jpeg Honestly, I prefer them putting things to the left of the 60% alpha block. That board's almost symmetrical. All f...

You never notice how useless Caps Lock is until you've spent a couple years using a board that doesn't have one and then use some one else's and you keep hitting the useless damn thing when you go to hit Ctrl.

Re: Looking For Help With A Build
I think you need to put the layout in the upper left corner of the box if you're using http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/ ,putting it any where else results in large empty areas. You can drag your mouse cursor to select the entire block and move it all at once to the desired position with the ...

Re: Looking For Help With A Build
The trick to using 2U POS caps that span 2 switches is to cut the spring in the second switch in half, makes it feel much nicer, you will have to replace the spring if you ever want to use that switch again though.

Re: Looking For Help With A Build
BFO-9000 with a custom plate that puts the arrow keys and nav cluster to the left on the left side, you can get laser cut plates that leave the arrow keys isolated. Something like this maybe, you can also get a plate cut that puts both halves together as a single plate if you would prefer a non split.

Signature plastics has 2u POS keycaps that span two switches in DSA and DCS profile,I use the DSA ones with an MX black switch that has the spring cut in half as the second switch and it's pretty smooth.

Sounds promising. For those who know what they're doing when it comes to playing as a USB host. (Not me!) Actually, I'd love a Teensy or the like* which just exposed its own damn USB pins as a break out, to make wiring easier and external sockets (which I much prefer over keyboard tails) less bulky...

Re: Rarest Switch?? Cherry MX Lock
But once the host machine could talk back to the keyboard, latching keys became problematic because they could so easily fall out of sync. The host can see the state toggle but it can't reset it! Before they became super-rare, I put a Cherry MX Lock switch on my ErgoDox for toggling the embedded nu...
