What about a 105-key ISO layout Filco Majestouch 2? It has MX Brown switches, good condition, boxed, can include original key caps although they're not really worth anything IMO and these have a fair amount of wear/shine on them I'd say.

Would price it in GBP since I'm in the UK.

I do quite like the idea of a WASDv2 ISO TKL with MX Clears and some different PBT keycaps... but as others have said, the postage/VAT/import duty to get it into the UK kinda kills it. But then I could have an ISO TKL with Clears at home and at work...

Once you've got (or at least tried) each of the Cherry switchs it gets less painful on the wallet - unless you veer from the Cherry path and start wandering down the Topre/Alps/IBM path in which case I wish you good luck :D.

Cherry branded boards (G80s etc) normally have a heavier spacebar switch; FIlco, don't in my experience but I couldn't say about CM/Ducky or any of the other big brands.

I like having a heavier spacebar personally, but it is one of those personal taste things.

Cherry does it this way, yes. On the other hand my MX Brown Filco has a brown switch also under the space bar. Like everything in a custom keyboard, it's a matter of taste...

So, would I be correct in thinking that the normal procedure is to fit out the entire board with MX Clears, except for the space bar where a Tactile Grey will be used?

Checking WASD out of interest, the cheapest shipping option to Britain is $60. A Code TKL with clears is $150, so that's $210 before our good friends at customs get their paws on it. I'd guess £25 tax and £10-30 handling fee. So you're talking something creeping up to $300, which is approaching ...

Hm, interesting. I had a Google about G80s and it seems that UK models with Clears were never made - though there are ISO models with e.g. German layout. As you say though, getting hold of one might prove difficult or more expensive than it's worth.

As far as I know MX switches are identical apart from the slider and the spring. The slider and spring is easily replaceable if you do as Mu suggests. If you transplant the slider and the spring from a clear switch, you get an MX clear switch on the board. You could of course skip transplanting the ...

Good question. There's Cherry G80 keyboards out there with clears, but actually getting your hands on one in Britain these days seems sadly complex. Might be easier to pick up a Ducky or a CM keyboard with clears instead. The ideal solution is if someone has a used one they'd like to sell.

I am in the same boat here - I'm after a set of PBT caps for my ISO layout Majestouch 2. I was pretty certain that the sets available on OcUK were thin, but TBH I might try them anyway because I don't see many alternatives.

I see that QWERKeys have a thick set listed , but they are 'out of stock ...
