Interestingly the switches on that board seem to have 3 pins instead of the usual 4

Re: [WTS] Converted Blue Alps, HP Keyboard, NOS Linear Space Invaders US Only
It's the only blue alps board I have ever used, so I can't really rank them. However all of the switches feel uniform with smooth travel.

yesit's near me unusually. would it be sacrilige to order a custom plate and rearrange the switches into a preonic layout? is it difficult to do a matrix scan on them?

I'm trying to convert a vintage board and it has a caps lock light, is there anyway to get that working?

Are you going to have a rectangular trackpad or make it circular somehow?

Re: Sun Damaged Keycap Restoration
I'm thinking of using acetone vapor smoothing, like with ABS 3D prints, to smooth the keycaps.
Does anyone see anything horribly wrong with this idea?

This is a good example video of what I want to try.

They are doubleshot, and the legend is raised by some tiny amount.
I think that first picture overstates the damage a bit, too. Most of the damage is cosmetic and the caps are maybe just more fragile than normal caps. Totally usable as is.

Sun Damaged Keycap Restoration
I recently got a keyboard that had been left in the elements for roughly a few decades. Luckily it comes from Arizona so there is no water damage, but the sun damage is extreme. The keycaps took the brunt of the damage, but the on the one switch that was exposed, the slider disintegrated. Compared t...

For Sale HP 98203C Keyboard $160 $140 OBO This keyboard has Maxi Switch vintage linear switches and double shot keycaps that I think are ABS. Re: Univac Keyboard (Micro Switch) - Now USB converted via custom TMK scan module!
Is there a different model number on the different types of sensing pcbs?
I have a Micro Switch SD keyboard that is completely homogeneous in switch type and sensor pcb, which is confusing to me because I was under the impression that the modifiers and F keys would be 'hold' switches.
