Hi body, thanks for the appreciation. I myself consider them quite underrated. Their clickeness wouldn't be as smooth as blue Alps' but wtf, they're first class as well imho.

Re: [WTS] IBM P70, SKCP ALPS plate Spring

How did you ultrasonicly clean it? Did you desolder the switches or just take the top housing, slider and plate off? Did it dramatically improve the key feel? Curious for my own plate spring. Nothing of all that, of course. I am referring to the sole keycaps. My both P70s don't seem to need such a ...

[WTS] IBM P70, SKCP ALPS plate Spring

Hi, I am selling an IBM P70 ISO ITA layout in pristine conditions*. Keycaps (edit) have been ultrasonicly cleaned, sanitized and all. It comes with its genuine, but cut, cable that can be easily soldered to a standard PS/2 or USB plug as widely described and documented on this board. It has been tes...

Re: Model M 1391401

@hellothere, I agree, even though the graphic chart already shows the current objective prices trend. The point is how much is it worth for you who want it now. Another retro calculation could be that of observing what hasn't been bought on eBay looking at closed auctions with no bets. For instance,...

Re: Price Check: How much is my _____ worth?

Thanks. I actually paid about $80 for these back in 2018. Given the low evaluation I would opt to hang on to them for a bit longer. Out of curiosity, did you pick up three of them or rather you haven't tried them yet? I wouldn't resist the temptation to click clack on them. P.m. I find th...

Re: Price Check: How much is my _____ worth?

Price check for NIB factory sealed IBM Pingmasters (Japanese sub legends). I remember a couple of years ago, your neighbour Mendlesons sold them on ebay for less than 40$. Unfortunately, shipping prices were as much as the double of the keyboard value to EU without mentioning custom fees. I'd willi...

Re: I built an entire windows 10 pc inside my model M

RPI-400-BACK-2-WHITE.jpg EDIT. Pcs built into keyboard seems to be a rising fashion trend lately, judging what engineers are doing at raspberry. PI400 goes on that direction without convincing to much with that inconsistent keyboard. That keyboard is a shame. I was wondering what mechanic keyboard ...

It's a brilliant solution, but I was wondering if there would be enough room to host a raspberry pi4B, because the solution proposed by the post author, fascinating for sure, but not very believable. The Intel stick seems to be unusable with very poor performances, according to what you read on Amaz...

Yeah, as owner of an IBM p70, I can confirm the uniqueness of those keyswitches that Chyros compared to the same feeling you can get clicking on a jar lid. Very interesting marketing experiment. Customers want to recognize themselves into a logo despite their product could be considered as a unique specimen, as it maybe was in the intention of its creator, originally. No logo branding doesn't exist with all due respect to Naomi Klein theory.
