Re: [Help] Ways to make a cheap case feel/sound more sturdy?

Thanks! That did help a bit with creaking! Bitumen is expensive, so for now I am just using a cut up pillowcase.

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYSWITCH thread

I recently bought this keyboard hoping for Alps, but no dice (I think). The switches are very clicky and rather course. Not terrible, but not great. The keycaps are pretty nice. They're double-shot MX mounts. Any idea as to what the switches are? Hi! I ended up getting one of these just recently as...

Re: [Help] Ways to make a cheap case feel/sound more sturdy?

I have seen mods of more modern keyboards with sheets of bitumen put inside gaps. You should find it in auto parts stores, as they are used for sound-absorption in cars. Hello DT! Today I come to you with a question: what materials would be best to making a cheap plastic case seem less cheap? Of note, I'm using an OEMMAX MAC-105 with Alps SKCM Blue switches, and it is based as an AEK clone VERY similar to the Ortek-105. My main problem is that the keyboard creaks a ...

Re: Deskthority header images v2

Got a few logo-based ones here, and a classic single-keycap-removed-showing-switch-on-keyboard photo. I think this is a good way to show rights and permission: I certify that this is my own work, and Deskthority is hereby granted perpetual non-exclusive license to use this image as Deskthority admin...

Shortly after my last reply I was curious about any other videos of yours, and to my delight I saw the Wyse restaurati...

It is actually easily convertible with Hasu's TMK XT Firmware. It uses the same wiring as a soarer's, and works with my black label Z-150 with no problems. (You just need to make sure the keyboard is plugged into the converter before plugging the converter into the computer.) https://geekhack.org/in...
