What bothers me about the bottom row the most is the 1u keys seem to be a different profile then the other keys.

Re: Burn him at the stake

Is this satire?? Or just your average rubber dome normie who has only typed on rubber domes, Macbook or Macbook knockoff chiclet keyboards, or Cherry MX Rattles?

If only T1 tactile switches were in mainstream mech keyboards.

Re: Are there any benefits to having a mechanical keyboard if you're not a heavy gamer or aren't a power user

I have to make labels to ship several packages a day at work using a really-awful rubber dome keyboard. Not much typing but it's a pain to use, I'll be replacing it with my G80 with Durock T1 switches.

Re: Alps Appreciation

I dub thee "Nexios"! Nexus sliders in Matias housings with respective springs and leaves. They are super tactile although the click leaves don't always click in them. Some of the nexus sliders are too big for some of the Matias top housings, the tolerance is really tight, but most fit well and the ...

I think Y1 is the clock crystal but it could be another capacitor (like those "Y capacitors" you find inside PC power supplies on the socket connector)

Thanks again and here is my updated schematic (using a bicolor LED for the message light, the original had two individual LEDs near the window (also my matrix schematic is already done))

Re: Would these Teensy++ 2.0 pins work?

I would consult the datasheet for the AT90USB1286 microcontroller that is in the Teensy++ 2.0. Any digital pin on an AVR should work for rows and columns. Many I/O pins on AVR microcontrollers have multiple functions, and the those marked PWM, INT, Ax etc. are also digital pins. For LEDs, you'd wan...

Re: Would these Teensy++ 2.0 pins work?

Ah, good, you already know to beware the LED on pin 6 / D6. I’ve always been told to avoid that one when hooking up a matrix. Or else you’d need to whack the LED itself. https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/pinout4b.png https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/pinout.html I’d use their pin numbering, though. Quite confu...

Would these Teensy++ 2.0 pins work?

I'm working on a custom PCB driven by a Teensy++ 2.0, can someone tell me if the pins I'm using in my schematic would work?
Rows and columns are labeled plus 4 LEDs (forgot to add resistors, will add later)

Re: Typing Demo XL - Kailh BOX White (in a Cherry G80-3000)

If you are ever going to refit this you could use a GH80-3000 PCB (they work on the old G80-3k cases like this one) and individual plates for each of the blocks of keys. Also there is a mod you can do to the case where you can put brass screw inserts into it (did this with Elrick's G80)

One thing I did was use a schematic of a single capacitor connected to ground on both sides. I never got the issue you did but I think this may resolve it.

Re: [SHIPPED] Hua-Jie AK-CN2 Alps clones (ROUND 2)

There's some inconsistencies with the sizes of the base. Snap off the mounting clips on the switches that don't click properly.
