Re: Great/Interesting Finds
Just purchased this guy https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1KB101-HOTTEK-CORP-Mechanical-Computer-Keyboard-Untested-SOLD-AS-IS/353430243321 I expect it to have htk clicky smk derivative switches: https://deskthority.net/wiki/HTK_switch Nice find and nice price for such a rare and unique board- I can ...

Re: List of keyboards. Any good one?
There might be a couple of boards in there worth having. I do see an MCK 500, which should be an Ortek with white alps or clones. Sorry to necro this, but is it true that the Ortek MCK-500 has Alps and/or clones? I can't find anything about it anywhere. You know what, upon closer inspection, the on...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
Anyone recognises this board? It has rather unusual f-key layout. Backside has no label. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/C5gAAOSw3PRf82tL/s-l1600.jpg I would actually say that this a quite odd board, one that I only know of because I own one. It looks about identical to my hk-101, a board made by ho...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
https://i.redd.it/g7u10wsfgjz51.jpg This looks like a Futaba MA switch keyboard. But I cannot identify what keyboard it is. The paper next to the keyboard says TS1000, but that seems to be a totally different keyboard. This is not my photo, so I cannot further inspect this keyboard. What keyboard i...

Re: Once in a life time keyboard find!
Wow that's quite the steal! That ZKB-2R sounds interesting with the unknown switches. Hope you have fun with storage! I'm currently spending quite a bit of time on storing my keyboards properly  It’s so hard to find space  Being a vintage collector with as many boards as I have, it’s just...

Re: NMB RT101+
NIce! I love mine- it seems to be a mid-transition board that has the newer style case, but the older, stepped keycaps as yours has. NMB really did make some amazing shit back in the day. Imagine if this was the standard today.. Right? The funny thing is, if you look at old catalogs and advertiseme...

Sounds slightly similar to the clicky HTK Switches I have in an old board- quite a unique switch as well.

Re: Who knows about this switch?
These are Oak Full Travel Membrane switches, meaning that, like the Model M, they use a membrane sheet underneath the keys, instead of a PCB. I've always been interested in trying these out- how are they, I assume not too great? The wiki has a little write-up on them: https://deskthority.net/wiki/Oa...

2 interesting keyboards in this lot https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/o324638687 First one looks to have very good keycaps and my gut says Cherry/Alps. Second one is a beauty too. First one should have futaba switches. I can confirm that the 1st one does have futabas. I have one in my collection ...

BTC foam and foil. Some of the 5060s had MX mount stems, others had Keytronics style split stems, but both were foam and foil. No actually- I was going to get this board, but I waited too long (still a bit salty lol). I asked the seller for a pic and it appears to be some sort of prototopre of some...
