Got new package yesterday, unfortunately I don't know too much about the keyboards, anybody could do a favor?

Appreciate it.

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

That's a German keyboard with IBM beamspring switches. Curiously, it looks like yours uses BLUE housings rather than the standard black. Looks very rough, but beamsprings are gold. Thanks, Chyros. Actually also my first seeing blue housing, thats interesting. I'll check whats like after disassembly...

Where on earth did you get this? Congrats on your beamspring find.
Not that lucky at all, got this off ebay. Seems a lot of work should be done to finish restoration.

Anybody here could give a shot for identifying and converting? Appreciate it. Looks like it was stripped down from an IBM 3741/3742 datastation. The original PCB isn't easily convertible so you might have to try manufacturing a new PCB and reuse the mechanical parts(e.g. the beamspring assemblies)....

Re: [WTB] IBM Unsaver & M15 & Beamspring

I'm planning on selling my Displaywriter Beamspring (among all my other keyboards), maybe you might be interested. Original top label still in tact, zero rust on the plate, replaced foam to reduce wobbleness. Ran every part of the Beamspring mechanism through ultrasonic cleaning. Unconverted, but o...

Re: [WTB] IBM Unsaver & M15 & Beamspring

I can recall the latest f104 or Unsaver was sold for 2K bucks, and I guess those guys who owned one have no too much interest to sell.

For the 4k or 5k€ money, thats your money, of course you could decide how to use it. That make sense.

Got the board without more couple days ago. In my first thought, its a 5251 beam spring or some kinda variant, but now I know it's not. F122 definitely.

I love huge keyboards with more keys than the normal 101 or 104 layout, but unsaver seems a special case, no chance to get one tho. Does anyone want to sell one here?

The pics tell a lot. Date and Unicomp mark obviously show when and where it reborn. This's something uncommon.

I have seven SSKs and one indy SSK, but nah of them has the sort of tags. Very enjoyable.
