Re: Unicomp SSK coming March 2020

Still not gonna unlearn AltGr + 2 = @, AltGr +E = my currency, or any other AltGr combo from my muscle memory, simply because Unicomp is obsessed placing Right Windows key [ for me the second least used key after Scroll lock ) where AltGr should be. Nor am I gonna spend the roughly two billion ...

Grabbed a Zenith for cheap because I love laptops with mechanicals.
Turns out to to have Alps integrated Domes, beautiful double shots though.

I am not new to linears that aren’t exactly new, and have tried the best of the best contactless switches. The only problem that I had with most of them, is the fact that they actuate way too high for me. (In relation to the contactless switches). And I know keyboards like the wooting that use ...

Teensy 2.0 works fine, you will not regret it.
You can remap keys with the firmware, very convenient to have my CapsLock key (I never shout) remapped to the Windows key.

A silver badged IBM-Model M, UK - ISO Layout
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114013201623

Not really a bargain (I got mine a lot cheaper) but condition seems to be ok. If you're looking for IBM-Model M keyboard, the silver badged ones are the best.

I thought about it because I'm looking for a white alps board and that one is pretty clean, but I think I'd prefer to get something like an omnikey

Nice. Those are, to me, the best of the white Alps switches.

The logo-less early Alps White switches are close to late Alps Blue switches. I compared them, same springs and switch plates, only difference are the sliders. When in good condition and paired with an excellent board, you have a F ...

Never heard of DTK, but the keyboard doesn't look bad. Nice keycaps, the case seems ok, yellowed in a nice way, no rust on the plate.

You can improve the Alps White switches with lubing the sliders and bending the click leaf.

The effect of swapping housing with slits is not very big with tactile switches.
You can try papermodding the switch, I noticed a bit more tactility with my Alps black bamboo and orange switches.
