DT is a tough crowd. Though I didn't know you people didn't like backlit that much.
I kind of like the phospor glow IBM boards and of course my own Cherry board:

Just got a CM Quick Fire Rapid-i today for testing purposes but let's start with some older pictures of my boards. :) http://i.imgur.com/SMEG25tl.jpg FC660M with Ivan's BoB round 3 pbt + Purple GMK mods http://i.imgur.com/qmnCfCrl.jpg Duck0113 Orion TKL + SkiData/Charred Orange caps. I also do have one, and only used the caps, and harvested the MX Clears :) Would like to buy the ANSI charcoal set, by the way. One was sold not long ago here, but i was not sure. Sherry from Originative had them in his store a few years ago. They were called 'Charred Orange' http://i.imgur.com/qLw...

Yes it seems that Z and Y are swapped. Didn't notice that myself before you mentioned (didn't start cleaning yet). This is very unfortunate for me. Let's just say that Skidata is related to my work, so I have some sources that way. Those logos on the keyboard (which you probably have seen before) a...

The caps are definitely ABS, mine are quite shiny from use. Sorry that I never got those pics, but my keyboard is still on the bench (some keys aren't working) and I'm nowhere near it right now! Well, even PBT can be worn shiny. You seem to have different keycaps from the one I photographed. It's e...

Keycaps look pad printed to me, scratch on "7" and also clear coating coming off. But who cares, it has the right switches. :p There is a scratch, but that's not the clear coat coming off. Just some fuzz. I haven't cleaned this board yet. I'm about to send it to someone else. Otherwise I would have...

I have a whole set of pictures for the Wiki as well. The full-size album can be found on my IMGUR account. Your cheapest option is probably a SkiData board . It has a German QWERTZ ISO G80-1800 layout and has a PS/2 connection but it feels great. Best of all, no import costs and you could probably sell the board at a profit when you take everything apart. Crazy looking thing. I think the G80 might be ch...

Muirium: The spacebar is indeed 6.25x, but the spacing of the stems is non-standard. There is a very nice review of the FC660M by eyesmiles on GH: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44310 In the review, he shows pics of a number of spacebars, some of which are close to that of the FC660M, but none...

Haha ah well. For SCIENCE!
As far as I can tell it's 6.25 units (118mm wide, 5 mounts, 43mm apart)
(Bigger pic for 7-Bit)
EDIT: Do you think I can just pop in a different stabilizer bar? WASDKeyboards uses the same size spacebar (4.66"or 118mm) and uses the outermost mounts.

Got my Noirs!
I love them. The texture is quite nice as well.
The only downside is that the spacebar doesn't it my Keycool.
Though that isn't 7Bit's fault. The holes just don't line up properly.

Just came back from a 5 month exchange in Berlin. It's perfectly safe to cycle in Berlin and I found most drivers to be careful around cyclists. The parked cars are actually really usefull, because it means all the cars stay in the left-hand lane and you get the right lane to yourself. :D But dear g...
