Re: Fully refurbished Model F AT

Nice board, looks like you have done a good job on the internals but i would give them caps and case a once over. Looks a big grubby to me and them caps should clean up super nice !

Re: Beamspring Switchplate Restore.

Any chance we can get high res scans of the manual.

Mainly just the keyboard section, but if you want to do the whole thing i am sure there are computer history websites/groups that would kill for the documentation.

Re: DT Update Log and TODO

May I add I’m quite pissed off? I had given up any hope of being heard in that matter when after almost three days, I was at least told it simply doesn’t matter. But when Mu agreed with me, it took just twenty minutes until… Oh, well, I’m certainly being unfair. But it sucks. At least Mu saved my d...

The way the inside looks screams mid to late 60s to me.

Oh and if you like old wire looms check out this video of a 1967 multi meter.

Just look at that wiring loom man. All cut to length and neatly loomed together, spacing on the ties all the same.... you just dont get things made like that anymore. Someone took care and pride in there work.

Unicomp still lists a JIS keyboard with, indeed, a non-stepped 1.75U right Shift key
I did not know that.

So when i asked them for a blank none stepped caps lock key they said they did not do them.

Oh unicomp , you madlads !

Re: Input Club Beamspring-like? new board

The switch looks cool but just keep in mind that a kickstarter is not a pre-order its a donation / pledge with a "reward".

Now input club has been around for years and chances are it will be fine, but its something to keep in mind.

Why throws that kind of thing away. There are some low profile switches there that cannot be more than a few years old as they only came out recently.

Honestly , some people have too much money, they should give it to me so i can spend it on crisps and beer.

I checked my controller boards and the connectors and I believe the only thing that can cause this is corrosion. There is no screw etc. As you have said ... there is no corrosion anywhere else on the board, it is very odd. I wouldn't use the original connector, as it is super hard to solder to the ...

Foot switch.

Hi All. I have been looking into possibly trying out a foot switch for holding down mod keys ( shift control etc ) as when playing long sessions on some games and needing to hold down mods and press buttons for actions (shift 1 2 3 4 5 6, control 1 2 3 4 5 6) and so on.
