I think I have some, let me know if you need any replacement white linear space invaders or any of the numpad keys as well.
I've been chasing a few spare white space invaders for a while, messaged.

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

Looks like a Tai Hao 5539-8 Looking at the pictures on the wiki I think you're right. Teardown photos all match as well as the shortcut cards. Thanks for your help :D I wonder why they branded some differently. I don't really understand Tai Hao branding. It seems that in addition to the 5539-x numb...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

Hi fellas, I have a keyboard that I haven't been able to dig up any information on and was hoping someone here might know a bit more about it. It has a sticker on the back with the brand name APC but seems to have no model number or country of manufacture listed. I believe it was manufactured in 19...

Re: NEC SKCC Keyboard and Ortek MCK-104Pro

Yeah, I agree with your thoughts on them being adapter sets, although I didn't think of dating them to the AT era. The doubleshot molding appears similar enough that I'd say they're both from the same manufacturer, but the legends are very different. I've also never seen legends or profile quite lik...

Re: NEC SKCC Keyboard and Ortek MCK-104Pro

Thanks! The NEC is certainly the best looking board that I have, and goes very well with my NEC call centre board that I got from the same place a while ago (https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?p=461416#p461416) The NEC has no controller on the PCB but is fantastically easy to adapt. It's got a 34...

NEC SKCC Keyboard and Ortek MCK-104Pro

I recently acquired a couple of interesting keyboards and some strange keycaps. The first is an NEC N6952-11, with ALPS SKCC Cream switches. This keyboard was possibly for the mid 80s NEC MS190 line of computers. Interestingly, it has a '1960' date stamp on the label, which is clearly wrong. It's in...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

I've found this in my local listings. Could it be mechanical? Do you recognize it? Looks like a keyboard made by Focus Electronics. I'm not sure about the model, but there's a start for you https://deskthority.net/wiki/Chicony_KB-5191. Also, this board is from Page 1 of the thread, and was identifi...

Re: Post your keyboards that went to hell (and hopefully back)

Thanks! The paint was just an experiment, but it turned out pretty good I think I'm a sucker for punishment, and I love space invaders and big keyboards, so couldn't pass these up. It's so hard to find anything like these here (Aus), and these had been through too much to let die. I was pretty amaze...

Re: Post your keyboards that went to hell (and hopefully back)

I picked up a pair of these NMB PC 122s. From what I understand they'd been sitting in outside in a bush for a large part of their lives, and this was reflected in the volume of leaves, sticks, dirt and general vegetation all through them. When I got them, not a single key on either board would depr...

Re: Find spares parts from old keyboard

I have one of these modules from the same OIivetti G81-3000 which also has a snapped stem on one switch (the number 2 key) but otherwise works fine. I'm in Australia, so probably not worth the shipping, but you can have the internal module for the price of shipping if you (or anyone else) want it.

Yeah I've not seen any info on these anywhere else - if anyone is has seen them elsewhere I'd be interested. I'm not even certain they are ITW, just assumed it because they're on an ITW board and look the same as the more well known versions.

Trendata 4000 Keyboards (Clicky ITW Switches)

I recently picked up 3 ITW Licon keyboard modules. The oldest has a date code 7514, with the newest showing 7610. The modules come from Trendata 4000 terminals. They are all in different condition, with one being just a little dusty, and another looking like it has been buried. I was expecting some ...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

I have swapped APC/Tai-Hao leaves (from older models though) into Alps SKCM Black and it improved the tactility quite a bit. The keyboards had okay doubleshot keycaps as well, but that's about it. I really like the older mechanical APCs (I have and Orteck MCK-101 with some branded/unbranded ones, b...

Speaking of purplish colour, I have a couple of NMB boards with space invaders and dye subs that were outside for an extended period. Some of the lettering has almost disappeared, and what is left is mostly a light purple. Some caps from an RT8875 included for comparison.

Re: NEC Blue Oval Switch Repair

I found them pretty easy to desolder as the holes are really big (I am not too experienced and use a really cheap iron). To get them out of the plate, you can put a small flat head screwdriver into one of the notches on the top/bottom side of the switch where it clips into the plate (looking down fr...

I had several of these boards all with faulty switches, which I desoldered to swap into the worst condition board. While they were...

NEC 'Bigfoot'/'AT-101'. ALPS branding on the PCB, ALPS style doubleshots for grey/white keys other than number pad, similar to those on the NEC APC 412 Blue oval boards. Thanks!. I thought the II+ was something Futaba, because the latching switch looks to be a Futaba Linear Lock, but I couldn't find one that matched. Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

There are obviously colored legends in the photo. The chassis is kind of similar to SK-4100R and other rubber domes. The case is essentially identical to the SK-4001R. It has the hump above the keys on the tops side, and the two part flip out feet on the bottom. Compared to the SK 4100R in the wiki...
