ALPS Cream Heavy - on a DEC terminal keyboard

Hi everyone, I am going to go more in depth on this keyboard later since I will be cleaning it up and converting it, but for now I wanted to share an interesting find. I noticed one of the keys are heavier than the others, after checking the DT wiki it appears to be an alps cream heavy. According th...

Re: howto: remapping keys on linux

Fuck yes, i finally got it working too, from what i can understand, you should not put the eXXXX value from the input, and the output seem to need to be lowercase (from what i tried to be 100% it would make it work), then the "udevadm info /dev/input/by-path/*-usb-*-kbd | grep -i keyboard_key" need...

howto: remapping keys on linux

This guide focuses on remapping keys using udev, which is the device manager for the linux. The advantages of this is that the rules are keyboard / device specific, so you avoid having to write your own keymap file and using it for every keyboard. HerbalNekoTea and I in the DT discord had some issue...

Re: A (failed) AT101W mod

The AT101W doesn't have diodes, though, so there should be little electrical difference between 17x8 and 8x17. I could see some potential weirdness where they tried to spread around keys to avoid blocking on common combinations and that got undermined by rotating the matrix, but I'm not sure about ...

A (failed) AT101W mod

Hey everyone, its been a minute since I posted anything, but since I got some free time I want to show a failed mod I tried doing on a AT101W keyboard. I've taken up a lot of interest in learning more about building my own circuits and messing with keyboard hardware so I wanted to see if I could get...

Re: QMK + ChibiOS + Trackpoint?

Sup dude, I haven't personally touched much on QMK and I know very little about ChibiOS, but if you can't find any relevant code you may have to figure out what lines the trackpoint uses and figure out what kind of signal it produces and translate it to a USB mouse. It probably uses a XY coordinate ...

Re: My custom Pingmaster mod

Thanks for sharing this project, and especially for the clearly written docs on github. Nice to see it done as a reversible controller swap. Appreciated, this is the first time I have published code publicly so I wanted to make it well documented. The Pingmaster has information here and there but I...

My custom Pingmaster mod

Good day everyone, for a while now I have had a bit of an obsession with a Japanese Pingmaster I purchased many months ago. I dabble in quite a bit of programming, so when I got this thing and tried typing on it for the first time, I could not wait to put it to use. The height of the keys is just to...
