Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

New listings 12/08 TOPRE This time there are a lot of things on the Topre menu... Been waiting a long time for that "bahram_yasutoshi" to come back with some more HEKBs. Hopefully my wallet will be deep enough. Something else cool i noticed was this obscure PROCO communications terminal and KB-1 ke...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

regarding the PTOS, i'm a bit confused because it appears the keycaps resemble the NEC oval version, but the LED windows suggest alps? Mine also look like that and I think all the PTOS boards that have that layout are yellow alps (Edit: incorrect info) I feel like a lot of these are in pretty crumm...

Came with very long cable ;) But why not all keycaps are PBT? Enter is ABS doubleshot :| P_20190804_234705.jpg P_20190801_201458_1.jpg Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what is that?? AT layout + blue alps is a thing? It's more than a thing lol. Many many AT clones boards use blue alps Damn, I only...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

I picked up a broken Yamaha C1 because the caps looked pretty. To my surprise they're alps mount. Unfortunately I can't get the thing to power on at all, not even the red light that I could see in the seller's pics. The switches look like Alps spring over membrane, but I can't tell for sure since th...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

Gonna put some bids on the type d. In other news, that mystery board is on its way to me! I’ll be sure to post pics when it arrives. You must really love those SKCM creams :D I feel like this one will go for a lot, though historically I saw some Type D's go for reasonable prices. Excited for the my...

I imagine it's very similar to the one I documented: viewtopic.php?t=20312
That one is really beautiful, I especially love the case. I saw the keyboard module being auctioned off maybe a month ago (for under 10k yen) but alas, no case, no buy.

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

Side note, does anyone have any details on this model of Panasonic keyboard? https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c745513032 I've seen them pop up several times and have never been able to find any information on them. I don't have high hopes, but I'm curious Sadly I was only able to find t...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

That's the one. I didn't realize that there were even older models from NEC with the same layout. Seems a bit strange to me that they would use ovals in the older one then switch to Alps (actually having Alps in a PC98 keyboard was surprising enough). Cool that the seller managed to check the functi...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

subcat, thanks for the quick notification on that batch of 5576-001 last time. I managed to pick up one of the -001 and 3479-JA1. They are both pretty beat up, but the -001 version's switches are in really nice condition (despite 5 of them being completely broken). Hopefully I can harvest a few from...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

Looks like Turbo Z is only slightly improved over the Turbo, most improved being the display capabilities, but it seems to me those improvements are on the monitor itself. Either way they both got completely killed with the introduction of the X68000. I really want one for the classic games but it's...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions Thread

What's the difference between the X1 and X1Z keyboard? Not sure. X1 Turbo is presumably older than the X1 Turbo Z so I suppose the probability of having SKCL Greens is higher. Though I always assumed all of the X1 series boards had Greens since they're older than the X68000. So far all I know is th...

recently I've noticed cool and rare/unknown stuff getting higher in general as a trend - a Juki keyboard I really wanted ended at over 50,000 JPY, About a month ago I was able to pick up 2x8801 keyboards - 1 older one with damage to PCB but other Type A in perfect condition (except the cable, that ...

This is a really useful thread. Thanks, subcat! You seem to follow a lot of the same stuff that shows up in my saved yahoo searches :P I'm definitely interested in one of those 5576, probably any of the ones without missing alphas. Also I hope someone here picks up one of the Sord boards! I was real...
