All the projects I've done are really personal projects that I've opened up to other people and made available. I have no interest in fabbing, building, shipping, and selling so I don't do it.
I'll help anyone that asks for help, but Open Source isn't my job.

Re: Moment of silence for all my projects…
My God.
I walk away for a few years and people here have decided to observe reality?
I have failed.
I guess I could look at using xwhatsit, but that would mean having to actually design an electronically symmetrical board.

Moment of silence for all my projects…
The freaking PSoC board used by DMA's Common Sense project is 20+ weeks backordered and I can't find them *anywhere*.
Sorry, I just needed to vent around those who would understand.

Re: IBM model F: Suspected dead PCB?
I just had someone on a discord channel tell me that I was overpaying by buying a teensy. Nah, I'm only using a few of them - I can afford the extra $$ for the convenience and reliability. My time is worth it. Now, if I were building a few hundred of them… (nah, who am I kidding. If I was buying a f...

If you're willing to use diptrace (and it's also free) I'll set up a meeting / screen share and teach you.

Anyone watching and identifying boards in Loki?
The dreary 60s/70s office is just me.
The telephones.
The stationary.
The computers and keyboards.
Speaking of... anyone got any guesses for ID? Are they modified vintage or custom made?
Thoughts?

Re: Seeking Soarer - evidence thread
My thoughts exactly. It seems like OP just wants to tell others what to do while citing his years of open source projects and whatnot as an appeal to authority. Well, he is an authority and his knowledge and access to resources are what make him well suited to this particular endeavour if it's a ro...

Hmm, I keep looking at that section and I wonder if it's a series of DIP switches and not an IC.
Can you get a peek under that frame to see what, if any components are hiding under there?

I wouldn't be so sure, look at this section:
Looks like a 14 pin DIP.

Re: Beamspring from Hell Restoration Log
I would be amazed if the PCB is salvageable - but I would be deliriously happy to be proved wrong.
On the bright side, replacing it with a new one isn't difficult nowadays.

Re: Alternate Reality IBM colours
Two thoughts spring to mind:
1. You can already buy black cases from unicomp
2. I wonder if we approached them with an MOQ they'd be willing to stamp out some of these in custom colours.
I'd love the yellow

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
Got the board without more couple days ago. In my first thought, its a 5251 beam spring or some kinda variant, but now I know it's not. Its much shorter than a nornal 77-key beam, more like being from a nondetachable device with case gone, so anybody here could give some help for identifying? Thank...

Try the beamspring.dip file here:
https://github.com/redvers/modelf
For some reason I can't get a working diptrace here so I can't verify it. Let me know if it's good / bad.

Yay - I'm glad to see another one of these in the wild.
... and defect my ass DMA - it worked perfectly here
(I set the min and max as opposites of each other so they were never true).
I can probably track down the original diptrace files if you give me a little while...

Day 1.
3 hours total broken into a few sessions. I have all letters, numbers, and many symbols mostly° memorized.
°I say mostly because every so often my brain will <space> on a character and stop my flow.
I would estimate that when on a roll I'm at about 8 wpm.
