Beautiful! This is an old-ish post, apparently. Do you still have it?
I am actually trying to get rid of a lot of keyboard stuff. Maybe we can work out a win-win if I have anything you're interested in. I'll try to take photos of all my stuff today.

Re: 1x1 Hi-Tek High Profile
Oh man, I need one of those! I got a much later model switch from eBay optimistically hoping I could swap the contacts out or something. Nope, completely different. I can't find anyone who is selling the waffle style switches.

HP 98203C Nimetz Keyboard
These HP 98203C Nimetz keyboards are really coming out of the woodwork on eBay lately. The HP Computer Museum describes them as "very rare," but it definitely seems like that's no longer the case, and they're relatively cheap, too. They are pretty interesting, though: Loads of keys, including weird ...

What are my options for repair of DEC VT100 / Hi-Tek High Profile contacts?
I have a DEC VT100 keyboard with a broken switch. Damaged Switch.jpg As you can see in the photo the metal contacts are damaged, but I have the spring and plastic slider (removed in the photo). The wiki has a lot of information about this family of switches and even describes how there "were provisi...

Re: unknown piece of keyboard for free
A Commodore PET! I love it. Are you in the US? If so, I would take it, convert it to USB, and build a beautiful enclosure. If I need to get rid of it, I would sell it only for cost of parts and shipping on DT.

I just happen to be dealing with the exact same situation as OP. Definitely try Soarer’s converter . …I ran it on an XT myself for many years. Highly recommended! The reason I opted against Soarer's converter is because it is closed source, hasn't been updated since 2013, and as far as I know the au...

Re: Typewriter Mania
I really like these typewriter modules, too, though I wish interesting keycap profiles were more common on them. The only one I've acquired, though, is a nice little IBM Wheelwriter. It has been waiting for me to fabricate an enclosure and slap on a conversion module.

Version 100 of the MIT Lisp Machine software recovered
Symbolics/LMI fans will be interested in this article from The Register : The LM-3 project has announced version 100, the last ever release of the system software for the MIT CADR Lisp Machine. Is this the coolest direction pad ever?
This old Russian Elektronika DVK-2M keyboard from 1989 has the coolest direction pad I have ever seen. https://i.imgur.com/lpSNsqD.png In addition to the usual up, down, left, right, there is also up and slightly left, around the corner to the left, down dot, down-left and away, a couple of double-l...

Pornographic! A lot of lettering is done not with a digital font but with engraving machines. The George Gorton Machine Company dominated the engraving space for decades, and consequently their flagship typeface is freakin' everywhere . Re: Three Micro Switch (Hall Effect switch) keyboards
The switch plate is the same as that on the Space Cadet. The PCB is very similar but not the same. In fact, the PCB can accommodate the same number of switches in the same locations as the Space Cadet's PCB. The connector also appears to be in the same place. I wouldn't be surprised if it was electr...

Re: Feasibility of building a Space Cadet using replica PCB?
Sorry to be a contrarian but I feel that this project is a bit misguided. Procuring these switches is nearly impossible and chopping up a vintage board is heresy. I don't think this is contrarian. It's just a reasonable concern over the preservation of vintage equipment and helpful information abou...

Re: [WTT] Have first prototype replica Space Cadet keyboard PCB, want switches for it.
Out of curiosity, what is your solution for the keycaps and the case? The key cap profiles are common Micro Switch key caps from the era, which happen to also be on a couple of other keyboards I have. I can resin cast the key caps. The Space Cadet was manufactured with at least three different encl...

At least some ppl would be interested in Consul 262.3 keyboard PCB… See also the 262.12 and 259.6 . There are presumably others using these Czech clones. My knowledge of the Tesla Consul keyboards comes from the following: the Tesla Consul 259.6 keyboard was recently featured on KBD News , and Telc...

About the 3-terminal OG sensors, as they're basically smth hard to get or get enough to complete the project, you may want some replacers. I tested few types before and I can sure you the modern sensors like A3144 could take over this part flawlessly, pad is bit thick so you need sand one side care...
