yah, I opened it up, hoping there was a visible IC there so I could find a datasheet... no luck. It's a chip under a glob of plastic, no part number to be seen. It is what it is! Will have to find a converter type solution.

I know that one can by a converter to adapt PS/2 to USB, and I have one on order, .... but...

I'm inclined to hack hardware! Can this keyboard be modified to operate as USB directly? thx!
