Philips ACC2330 foot switch

I want to buy the ACC2330 foot switch (pedal) from Philips. https://www.dictation.philips.com/products/transcription-accessories/foot-control-acc2300/ Does anyone know if this works just like a keyboard with four keys, so that, in Linux, using, say, xkb, I can remap those keys (to ctrl, meta, &c.), ...

Just to share a layout I've made with the QMK. My current layout is with 2 extra keys coming from split space bar + split right shift How does the small space bar and the extra modifier fit? As far as I know: no. They are not included in the USB keyboard standard. (Annoyingly, as volume up and down are!) On the Mac, I just map the two brightness functions to F1 and F2 in System Preferences and use those on my Kishsaver and other keyboards. So the key menu, which I had assumed to be arb...

Good to hear! Would it be small enough to support two additional keys by chance (left and right of the spacebar)? That would be awesome!

Yes it is a tight fit but I do offer the smaller space bars. They will be in stock in a month or so. I do not offer factory default settings though for the smaller space bars - you'd have to do the installation. You mean you will offer bars that are a perfect fit, in shape as well as in colour, as ...

How exactly does one install the new firmware? I tried
compiling, running `src/util/src/ibm_capsense_usb_util`,
but at this point I don't see any obvious thing to do. I tried
`Store override in EEPROM` under `Voltage Threshold`, but that
didn't change anything.

Thanks, Dikkus. I wonder whether, if there is enough interest, it would be feasible to produce these spacebars and 1.5Us in matching colours. You also need to ensure that your AUR package rules files for UDEV has been correctly installed where it should (on my debian box: /etc/udev/rules.d/). This file is named:

82-ibm-capsense-usb.rules.
I have that directory but no such file, so that may be the problem.

Concerning the Kishsaver,

are the middle modifiers between alt and caps/ctrl going to be
super/win? How about putting lvl3/altgr on the far left instead of caps
lock?

Since the fn is on the right side, it might be a good idea to have
vim arrows on asdf:

t up
f right
