Cherry MX Silent Black switch (Review)

Honestly, I think it’s an underrated switch. The Cherry MX Silent Red is the one that gets all the attention for some reason.

Re: Cherry MX Silent Red switch review

One problem with silent reds—which I otherwise quite like—is their extra creaky springs. MX does have a creak to it, but silent reds seem to really bring it out. My silent red Filco is anything but silent on many keys! We discussed it recently here . I experienced this for the first 3-4 days which ...

Re: When did you first start appreciating keyboards?

I hate to admit it, but it wasn’t until recently…I’d say around 2015, when I was introduced to “mechanical keyboards”. Up to that point, I was using a crappy dell rubber dome keyboard with some the legends starting to fade. It took some hard self-convincing, but I saved up to purchase my first mech ...

Re: How do you fix a broken stabilizer on a vintage keyboard?

I managed to "fix" it by using duct tape with a piece of small plastic from another keyboard. It doesn't feel as nice as the other keys, but at least it's stabilized...somewhat.

That looks bad! Try and paste it with some adhesive and see if that works, Otherwise, I don't see any fix to this.
I tried to tape it using double sided tape, didn't quite work as well as I thought. I can try duct tape actually.

I would recommend to stick with some glue. Should be an easy fix as you have the broken piece still partly attached.
I lost the piece shortly after, looks like that's it for me.

How do you fix a broken stabilizer on a vintage keyboard? [SOLVED]

The little plastic nub that holds the stabilizer has broken off. It happened when I removed the keycap.

What are your methods to fixing this?

The keyboard just arrived an hour ago and I've already broken it :(

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

Can someone help me identify this keyboard?

Front of the keyboard.

Back of the keyboard says "IBM" on the model, but it doesn't look like a Model M or Model F that I've seen.

I can't say I like the colour scheme ...
Me neither  the top housing looks like it was inspired by the color of piss. They stand out from the crowd though.

Re: [Interest Check] 75%Keyboard:Cyberboard(With Color Option form)

The 75% layout is my favorite layout, but this honestly just seems absurd. In terms of styling that is. I'd be more inclined to purchasing this if it had a more "normal" styling. I know it's all for a "crazy" look, but if you guys have a more standard look in the works, I'd be interested.

Dell AT102W Alps SKCM Black - Price Check

Hello guys, I'm not too familiar with vintage keyboards and their pricing, but I want to add my first vintage board to my collection because all I have is modern stuff. I want to know how much would you guys pay for a fully working Dell AT101W or the 102W variant? And in what condition would be rega...

Re: Post the ugliest keyboards you've seen!

I secretly kind of like this one. https://i.imgur.com/MDLgS7h.jpg Actually saw and tried one in China. It feels like shit(especially the space bar). Comes in a box with paper shavings quite nice packaging. Case and spacebar both very glossy, definitely NOT durable. I think it's a showpiece more tha...

Re: GK61 with Gateron Black switches Review

Hey I think it's decent for the first review. But there are many big channels reviewing keyboard now so I do think you need to step up the content if you want to stay in the game. My rough plan for now is to take it a little slow and see where it takes me. I have plenty of keyboards and switches ar...
