WTB Ibm 3278
Located in Texas, US and looking for a 3278. I prefer to buy from someone who's a community member than someone who doesn't really appreciate vintage boards. Doesn't have to be converted. Thanks!

Reviving an old post here: https://i.imgur.com/l0XAmo7.jpg For some reason only these keys are registering when I use hid_listen. I checked all the soldering joints and they don't look that different from the ones that are working. The multimeter also beeps on all columns and rows. I'm using a Teens...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Hi all- I am running into a problem with xwhatsit's controller. For whatever reason, the .exe file disappeared and does not reappear after I unzip the downloaded file again. I asked my antivirus to skip this folder but the same issue still persists. Does anyone have a similar experience? Any clue on...

Anyone has experience with this one? https://i.imgur.com/WlMMFM9.jpg The seller says it's Harris C1100 but I can't figure out what switches are in it. Thanks! This looks a bit like NMB (space invader), but I could be wrong Interesting... I guess we will see when it arrives (from Egypt, God damnit)

[IC] Buckling Spring 9009
Hi all- I don't have the product and do not plan to manufacture it BUT I'm curious how many people are interested in a 9009 or other classic sets for buckling spring boards such as Model M & F. If there's enough interest, I can do some research to see if it's possible to find people to produce them....

Re: Soarer's WYSE Converter
My solution to the trouble of soldering tiny wires was to - trim the outer housing back about 1.5 inch - strip the last 0.25 in of each wire - hot glue the outer cable housing to the teensy - bend the 1.5 in of stripped wire in a loop This lets you solder to the teensy without much tension on the w...

Re: Soarer's WYSE Converter
I did remove it, it was fairly simple. To figure out the pinouts - use a multi-meter and check for continuity to leads to the controller chip. You only need to identify the GND and VCC from the controller chip. For CLK and DATA just try both options out until it works. Wrongly connecting the CLK or...

Re: Soarer's WYSE Converter
you should be able to identify the pins on the connector to determine what needs to go to your converter, That is what I did when converting mine. Unfortunately I don't have it handy so I can't look at what went where. Thanks! It seems like a pain to full remove that connector but I guess it's the ...

Re: OG M0110 + White Alps?
You can just cut the borders of the plate (where is meant to be mounted originally) and and some nuts and bolts in between, looking for an specific place where your PCB has no traces. Try to avoid buying an entire custom plate, is the most expensive thing in most keyboard builds and prone to errors...

Re: OG M0110 + White Alps?
Thanks! What type of shop may provide this kind of service? I don't think I have any equipment to cut metal. Re: is it possible to have a custom keyboard for around $200
Since you want to know why I want a custom keyboard and not a factory-made one. It is because I want to do as much custom as I can do for my setup. And my layout would be ISO. I would love to have my function keys for shortcuts but its not necessary. I am asking because you may be able to achieve y...

Re: is it possible to have a custom keyboard for around $200
The question should be: what do you want to customize? What do you want that factory-made keyboards do not have? If you can tell us this, I'm sure $200 is 100% enough.
