Did they ever release that 60% board they were talking about a few years ago? They took pre-orders IIRC...
I too was looking forward to it because of those PBT caps they promised... wonder how that went.

[WTB] SMK MX mount clickies

Hi! I would like to buy some SMK Cherry mount White switches, or a board including those.

My region is South Korea, but I really don't matter shipping and all if I could get my hands on them.

Feel free to PM and please do! :D

Re: What are your keyboard projects for 2021?

I'd also like to put together a sandblaster station. That'd help on so many levels of keyboarding: bad metal cases, bad mounting plates, de-shiny keys ... You can use a sandblaster to deshine keys? This is the first I'm hearing of this. Wouldn't that wear down the legends? Yes they would... whilst ...

Lubed Space Invaders!

https://youtu.be/KgmBzejC8BE I think there isn't more to do here :D I bought this off from CL4P-TP. Lube the stabilizers and switches with Superlube grease and oil, switched out the F,J and numpad 5 keycaps for bumped ones for touch typing. And it's now perfect to use! I can't record the sound with...

Most of my keyboards are at the barrack. Nothing much to show off sadly.

Well, haha, I’m sure we’re helping him a lot. Sarcasm aside, Findecanor has identified one of the key tenants of this hobby - everything is subjective. The only opinion that matters is your own. Yup :D when it come to keyfeels it all very subjective indeed! For instance, I prefer Matias clicks over...

Re: What's the best modern tactile/clicky switch?

Matias's clicky switch holds up well, much better than almost every Cherry MX clones.
For MX compatibles, I'd say Box Navies.

But yes, I do find myself coming back to vintage stuffs :D

Mine's 1392595! Think I payed about 26 in USD.. model Ms are quite expensive in Korea Nice, this is the latest produced 1392595 I've seen! $26 USD is a good price these days - I paid £50 GBP (~$64 USD) for mine. How much does a typical Model M cost in Korea? Blue badge starts at 80 ish USD, 160 for...

Re: Got myself a budget model M!

Nice! What part number is this and how much did you pay? I believe this is an IBM 3151 ASCII Display Station Keyboard. I have a P/N 1392595 (grey oval, 1987), with the same awesome numeric keypad legends that I ended up complimenting them with a Unicomp APL keycap set. Mine's 1392595! Think I payed...

Got myself a budget model M!

They were made in UK, 1997. Not fancy but came with these sick looking numpad! Since it's a terminal model M. 20200912_191336_242.jpg I'm cleaning the caps with hypersonic cleaner. 20200912_194351_854.jpg It's in a solid state overall, zero rust and very clean barrels! 20200912_213539_132.jpg I'm so...

@Coeus That is actually the third way I've been seeking XD I can reprogramme the keyboard through PS/2 port on another PC via Genovation's programme because it will allow direct control. @Inxie

Now I understand clearly, I got mixed up! Thanks :)
The error part was through these file sets : http://geekhack.org/index.php?action=dl ... tach=10519
Which is through the Teensy, the converter itself to reprogramme a keyboard.

If you don't feel like reading and converting HID codes, try it!
