Not to be curmudgeony, but you can still get modern (AM4) computer motherboards with a PS/2 port. That said, why couldn't you just use a normal PS/2 -> USB adapter with a USB-A / USB-C adapter?

Hello I recently got myself a Cherry G80-1800, it has a PS2 connector and well who still has a PS2 connector? Is it possible to convert it to USB-C and I am willing to solder around on it and take it apart.

I don‘t want a super fancy case, artisans or RGB lighting. I don‘t to want wire it by hand, but my dad has a soldering iron. An off-the-shelf case is enough for me, I don‘t like flashing designs. And what do you mean with controller?

Since you want to know why I want a custom keyboard and not a factory-made one. It is because I want to do as much custom as I can do for my setup.

And my layout would be ISO. I would love to have my function keys for shortcuts but its not necessary.

Btw, you can also buy small quantities of switches to test first. Get a cheap G80 from a flea market or eK and use that as a test board to solder in trial switches.

The only switches we have in germany are Cherrys, Razers and GX. So I would need have to order them.

The thing that bothers me the most is the size of the keyboard, because when I play csgo I have hotkeys for auto buy weapons and stuff like that and muting myself in discord, I normally do that on function keys and at page down. I was thinking about just getting a 6 key keyboard for my hotkeys. And ...
