Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!
I wasn't sure what i'd think of the MDA profile, but I figured since the "big bone" set had a 5.5u spacebar that fits the NIZ 84 keyboard, I figured I'd give the profile a shot. niz84mdabigbone.jpg The MDA caps are about the same height as enjoyPBT caps. I like the flat sculpted profile, but some k...

Re: Round 5 and Round 6 kits for sale!
When I collected funds for Round4 in 2012, I recall people were asking for refunds when they had supposedly already received them. I'm wonder if anyone made a profit off their multiple refunds? I don't know if this makes any difference, but when I was collecting, I'm pretty sure I never sent any mon...

Hmm, 18 kits sold for the M+ kit (6 for DE, 5 for Icon), with 24 days to go. It blows my my mind that just a few years ago we had to scour ebay and taobao for Cherry doubleshots or dyesubs, but now there are group buys for all sorts of custom keysets. I think right now there are at least 4 GMK sets ...

cocobrais from GH is the one who is running this; blighty just did a cross post. But happy as well that this is finally happening. I'm going with an R kit for the OG factor though I only have an UK ISO. Ya, I am just trying to help others see this buy. It seems GMK buys are almost a dime a do...

We need to make some updates but I'm pretty happy with it. The layout will probably be KAT.

REALFORCE R2 "PFU Limited Edition" impressions thread
20180809_083540.jpg I've been typing on the new Topre Realforce x PFU R2 silenced TKL board for the last few days. So far, so good. My only electrocapacitive experience has been with a 75% NIZ/Plum board, but the scratchness of the sliders on that board and how much the board rattled make it kind o...

I lol'd at this kickstarter being used to drive traffic to kono-talk. But on a serious note, 2 questions. 1. Does it include the carrying case? There doesn't seem to be any mention of it other than the picture. 7536868967b8409d86c4ddd3a4875344_original.png 2. What version of the Kailh switches are t...

I think when I was in buy/sell mode a few years ago, I posted stuff to GH more often because I didn't feel guilty about saying (CONUS). Custom declarations are such a pain in the ass. Actually, sale threads are a pain in the ass regardless, that's probably why I have boards and caps in bags and boxe...

Hell, pick the switch you want to try out? Once you've had your fill, then sell it. Since you already know you don't want the boards, you can put in switch types you wouldn't normally type on. I meant to to that with a board I put together with Cherry Blues, being a linear switch fan, but ended up k...

Popping out of lurker status to say thanks for running this! Until I saw this buy pop up, I had no idea that kbdfans new 75% PCB had a split space option. Hopefully I'm able to decide exactly what layout I want before this ships. Given the 3 or 4 month lead time, I have faith. :) I too am intereste...

Cherry MX-BOARD 1.0 TKL?

Cherry finally has got on the TKL bandwagon, and it's plate-mounted. Kind of interested... Cherry is trying to stay relevant (in China at least)...

Buying two or six at once is cheaper per unit ... Hmm. All rows the same OEM profile, except for space bar. With all the rows the same, Colemak and Dvorak layouts are now easily swapped to. I think I may try out those layouts when this ships. With the LEDs on the top of the switch instead of the bo...

Kinesis Freestyle Edge, the freestyle2 gone mechanical
I liked the original freestyle boards, with their split boards and tenting options. Now, Kinesis has revamped things by adding mechanical switches, and doing a kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/294674098/freestyle-edge-the-ultimate-split-gaming-keyboard 5e6e068da1e27ac152d5ed3e0adb06...

I ordered the non rgb model, but it's been chilling post SF customs since early Monday morning... I can't say I've cared too much to try Topre (due to my love of linear MX switches), but I do like the 75% form factor enough to experiment. I'm hoping the 5.5u OEM height spacebars I ordered off of sha...

http://blog.wooting.nl/flaretech-the-optical-keyboard-switch/ So, these clear stem switches look like they will be brittle, like most clear plastics, so we can look forward to plenty of broken stems when swapping caps.
