If it is one key it is most likely the spring needing replacement, or possibly debris in the area. I ended up taking the keyboard apart.. Cleaned everything and put it back together. It's probably the little nub on the underside of the key that slots into the spring that has broken away partially or completely.

I just had a look with a magnifying glass and it looks like you are correct.

Hello! I just had a key die on me. I did the usual things to try and bring it back.. In the end, replacing the keycap fixed it. Any ideas what caused this ? I have a left shift key that is sticky. I've tried the 'wiggle the post solution' several times with no luck.

It grabs when I push on the right side of the key.. To the point where suddenly I am writing in all caps.

Any ideas ?

Oh, and there is one thing that people may want to know, but currently, there is no way to install the qmk firmware on a M1 (ARM) Mac. The only known way was using brew and qmk/qmk/qmk is not currently installing on the M1 using brew. The maintainers are aware..

If you get the HHKB layout you can use FN + [ - ; - ' - / (up - left - right - down) for arrow keys. Or you could remap them, see here: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?p=468593#p468593 Thanks. It clearly doesn't have any arrow keys.. How are you moving your cursor around ? Just using the mouse ?

I do have the compact. I ordered some Polyimide tape.. It's working now but ever so often I start to lose keys.. I'll see if I can hang on until Amazon ships me the tape..

Ever so often, I have one or several keys in a group that stop registering.. Looking at the manual, it indicates that this is often caused by the pins on the ribbon touching the case and that I should add a strip of electrical tape.. I haven't tried this yet.
