Very impressive work!
Do you think printing the model on a resin 3D printer might help with the tolerance issue?

Re: Where would the "Tap Strap 2" even fit category wise?

Iinteresting find. Kinda reminds me of the gesture controller from Minority Report. del.png The closest thing I've seen is Keymouse (https://www.keymouse.com/), which (according to a few reviews) seems to be very clunky/heavy for use as a mouse. This one gets around that by not having a tangible fra...

Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to accumulate such an impressive collection?

Re: IBM F XT Spewing

Hey guys, it's been a while. I've done the in-chassis converter, but the problem is still quite present. I have identified the offending 'repeating' keys, but I have other problems- such as the F keys spewing randoms commands, one most notably changed my entire monitor to red. Regarding the repeati...

Looks very cool!
Even if the injection molding project doesn't end up happening, it's still possible to print a small quantity of these at a 3d printing service. Many of them offer volume discounts starting at 5 pieces, like https://www.3dhubs.com/

Re: Broken via on Model F sensing PCB

Been using a cheap iron without temperature control, guess I learned that the hard way.
The actual trace on the other side isn't damaged as far as I can tell, though I need to desolder the current wire first to be sure; I'll do that once my soldering station arrives.

Broken via on Model F sensing PCB

Hello DT, I'm in the process of restoring my first F122. I desoldered the original flat cable so that I can put on an xwhatsit controller. However I noticed that 2 of the vias has detached from the PCB. IMG_20201225_234545.jpg I'm pretty new to soldering, does this mean I left my soldering iron on t...

Maybe it's better to hold North America and European versions separately to avoid cross-Atlantic shipping?
