New plate added for WKL Alps layouts (SGI, Dell, etc)

Thanks for making this it was exactly what I needed for my build.

Any consideration for TKL PCB and Plates for the future?

My build in cartboard case :D

Your spacebar sounds better than mine, in my opinion. Any particular tweaking you did to it?

I opted to remove the spacebar's barrel on the PCB maybe I should try installing it again.

Mmm I bet it sounds as good as it looks. Great job! It does sound great, as I hoped. I believe the plastic case helps. The high dollar metal cases seems to ruin Alps sound potential. how much did you spend on all of these parts? XD87 Case + PCB + Plate = $71 https://kprepublic.com/products/xd87-xd8...

Just Finished! Alps SKCM Brown Winkeyless TKL on a Budget!

So the quest for Alps Winkeyless TKL parts had proved too costly or too obscure than originally anticipated so I got creative with the parts I could find. My plan to create a Winkeyless TKL with Brown Alps (for at least the Alphas and Modifiers) with SGI Granite keycaps began.. Parts used were: SKCM...

Help with WKL TKL Alps Build

Seems the options to purchase Winkeyless TKL parts for a Alps setup is very slim and hard to come by. Would anyone have the 3D files to create a Winkeyless TKL Case? I've seen it's possible to get these made out of acrylic. For example: https://stratakb.com/ Also, I'm unsure how to generate the raw ...

Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!

Unicomp keys. Disappointed by how much wiggle/play they have but they look nice   If they are two piece caps, you might try using vintage stems with the tops and the wiggle issue likely will go away They are one piece caps Does Unicomp still sell cyrillic caps? Have you tried reflashing the PCB? No, i haven't. If I had to guess, they look to be surface mount Schottky Diodes. The components labeled D##. I can't seem to make out any distinguishing numbers on those diodes though. Two elements what i replaced was marked with S1 code and was packaged in SOT-23...

Re: GK64 pcb problem

Do you have a multimeter? I would check the diodes for that column with a Diode test.

Check for any lifted traces. If a trace looks damage you can use jumper wire to remedy it.

Does the problem happen only when the PCB is in the case by chance? If so it may be shorting to the housing.

Re: GK64 pcb problem

Be sure the switches are fully seated into the sockets. Insert the switch and look from underneath to be sure the switch leads are inserting correctly.

Re: ReSKCM - Optical rework, and cloning of Alps SKCM/SKCL switches

I've had 5 Alps based boards over the years (2 SKCM blues, 1 white, 1 orange, 1 salmon), they were so disappointing it'd be such a waste of time, money and resources to try get them remade. Disappointing as in you had your hopes up and/or they were all poor quality? I'm satisfied with the key feel ...
