Model F AT problem

So I need to take apart my F AT because the Shift was doing something weird where id stayed on but I have now encountered another problem. The capacitive PCB under the barrel and spring assembly seem s to now be very sensitive. When I connect the keyboard, the springs hold down on the capacitive PCB...

I'll start with the basics. Have you switched the switch on the back to A? Have you tried it on another machine? Are you using a suitable AT to PS/2 and if you have one a PS?2 to USB adaptor?

Another new switch discovered.

Well I took the Triumph Adler 121PN apart to have a look at the switch. I now know it is not a Honeywell Linear w/LED because the design is different to the Honeywell switches as this has a oval base,Although it has the same mount as a Honeywell linear w/LED. The switch assembly is stuck inside, nai...

Care to share why you think it's a clone? It looks like something is stamped in the slider. Alps never had that. Yes they did: Dell AT102W switch.jpg Also, Fukka clones are reported to have had the Alps logo on, but mine certainly don't (TP3). They do have the same long side tabs as complicated swi...

Some alps clone. Have you tryed desoldering the switch and looking on the bottom for a manufacturer? That happened with the Aruz switch I discovered. Seems like clone manufactures were coping every detail of the shell casing including the style of the logo.

Wait a minute. I found some info that says that tai hao manufactured the switch themself. Tai-Hao has stepped over to manufacture Keyboard with its own outstanding injection ability & the advantage of being a upline factory manufacturer of keyboard keycaps & keyswitches in 1987. 1987 is right in lin...

Maybe the clone maker used a short fantasy name starting with an A. That actually would make sense, I would guess the switch was made by the same company who made the board they were found on. Just did a bit of research... It was made by these guys, according to the FCC ID. http://www.tai-hao.com/ ...

Aruz switch *UPDATED PICS*

Because you asked for it. This pic is of the desoldered switch. This would be a good replacement for the pic in the wiki. Pic of the underside of the switch with the word "Aruz" from which the name is derived. Dissassembled Aruz switch. Note the similarities in design to the KPT switch. Switch top r...

Check the plastic rivets? If most of them are missing, that could be your issue. The springs may be out of alignment.

You may want to PM the guy to check that they if any are Type 4.
BBC Micro caps are also sweet to have with the doubleshot red F0-F8 caps.
