Re: Lighter Model F Spacebar - The no-disassembly Ghetto Mod
For my AT I used some foam off ebay . A little pricey compared to just buying foam, but I didn't have to use any mental capacity figuring out which foam to buy or spend time cutting holes, which was nice. No chattering whatsoever.
I'll look into those premade foams. Thx!
I'll say one thing ...

Re: Lighter Model F Spacebar - The no-disassembly Ghetto Mod
Very elegant solution! I wouldn't have thought of that. IMO the best method yet, as some people seem to have damaged the wire while lightening it. I'll definitely try this on my F.
While we're at it: Does somebody know from experience what replacement foam works best in an AT or XT?

Maybe snap the PCB in half? That might be enough for the seller, and you can salvage the switches and caps.

Hi all!
I'm looking for an Apple IIGS Board or an AEK with orange Alps, preferably in QWERTZ. Condition of the switches doesn't really matter!
ALTERNATIVELY looking for a set of QWERTZ iigs keycaps and a case.

[WTT] [DE] Space Invaders Boards, M0110A, Money [W] Apple M0110
Hello, I'm looking for an Apple M0110, preferably converted.
I can offer numerous clicky SI boards in ISO-DE,-DK,-NO, and -IT and DEC-Style linear ones with swedish, spanish and danish layouts. And of course money!
Maybe we can work something out.

2. Soarer's full name and last known address need to go public.

Re: Coiled telephone style cables: Yay or nay?
Same here. The curls always get stuck between my desk and the wall and then I have to pull the cable back out. Also, "custom coiled cables" people buy only to place them on their desks in a way that doesn't even make use of it are stupid IMO.

Re: Lubing rod stabilizers?
Alps themselves lubed these from the factory, something thin and light from the looks of it. I don't have any recommendations for lube type. Another option is getting a very light (thing 5 grams) spring to go around the rod. This is how brother typewriters handle their rod stabilizers and I feel ...
