Re: Does anyone still make keyboards with build quality comparable to a Model F or even an M?

Drop's CTRLs are definitely built well but they're TKLs, sadly. If Drop's CTRL (or actually any keyboard of theirs) are a good point of reference for you, build wise, and you are open to MX switches, there are some better options for you, even when you want a full size keyboard. QK100 might be big ...

Anyone know what this board is lol. Got unnecessarily wrecked by this dude HeQ8Kk2B0hs Why do people watch this stuff? :? https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?t=14220 :( They're a good board if you have the desk space to accommodate. Not an exact match but very close, inlcuding the MX clears etc. ...

That "Honeywell" Rubberdome feels meh but it's fun for a while when you activate the "clicker" via the 2nd switch.
Blue ALPS in a Black Chassis with Black keys seems like a good deal though, nice!

Re: Carbonated non-alcoholic drinks of choice?

I must chime in on this one since it's basically the origin of my username: Schorle , internationally mostly known as Spritzer , is a mix of carbonated water and juice. It's refreshing and comes in as many different flavours as there are juices and juice-mix-combinations in the world. While Apfelsch...

Title, basically. Let's celebrate! Exactly a decade ago a user with the palindrome name Muirium registered on Deskthority.net. Since, he humors us, shows his affection for the minuscule My and recently even cleans up this place he seemingly has grown fond of. To mark the step towards his first decad...

Re: MX Clear Pins

If you don't use RGB anyway you might be better of to make sure to turn off the LED. LED don't have much power but I remember a very discolored alluminium case from not turning off underglow LED and I don't know if Switches not made for SMD dissipate the otherwise neglectable heat from LED too badly...

My MX Clears came with 3 pins (I don't know if there are 5 pin variants), the keychron Q1 supports both 3 pin and 5 pin switches for hot-swap. Actually, anything that supports 5 pin also supports 3 pin. 5 pin is more stable though, which I personally only care for in hot-swap but 3 pin hot-swap shou...

Elaborate on your GB definition, please. Do you just want to reach 200$+ to save on shipping and FedEx fee (12,50€) or are you looking for a better deal? Re: Looking for a full-sized keyboard with ISO-DE layout and media keys (and silent red switches)

I think it's fair game to try to mod your 3000N first but some boards are too far gone and can't be saved economically - at least that was my conclusion with my rabbit whole starter Qisan magicforce 69. If a used one off ebay / EKA is an option for you voiding the warranty might be easier. Also you ...

I was curious about the Model A as well, how it holds up against other better rubbber domes etc. In the end I had to accept that I am too parsimonious to have another rubber dome board lying around and taking up my space, especially when overpriced like in this listing.

Re: [GB] Tai-Hao White on Black and Vintage Alps

International / NorDe (I mostly just care for German though) Alp Keycaps would be pretty lit, I agree.

This Cubic profile doesn't suit me either, the font looks off and I fear the edge is too sharp so I'd get stuck on it while tpying - OG Cherry and DCS have nice radii imho.

no desoldering needed, probably can even pull the clicker without even pulling the stem - haven't tried that yet though.
Be advised, reverting linear SI to clicky is not as straight forward as some might have you believe.

I know what you mean when you fear all MX boards ping annoyingly. If I hadn't come from a corsair one I might have aboarded the ship after my short meeting with a Qisan MagicForce 69. Re: What choices are there for printed black keycaps for the model M are there?

Also bear in mind that two-piece caps will need to be far too thin for double shot. I wouldn't generalize that, for most doubleshot keycaps the DS part is the top face that the legend is on. If we are open to increase the overall height of the switch (see SA or other vintage looking profiles) Doubl...
