Wow, that bandaid mod really removed the only complaint I had with my F77, the rattly space bar. I don't know why I didn't think of it myself!

Don't worry, you aren't wasting our time. Just take your time and practice but try to practice on some soldering kits to avoid possibly damaging your keyboard. Welcome to the hobby!

It is brave of you to try this but I think you might have to practice on the soldering part a bit more. Buy a couple of those neat electronics kits to practice soldering to a PCB and read up on how to properly solder wires to connectors. It will cost a little bit of money but it is valuable knowledg...

Regarding the problem of having to toggle the num-key to access the arrow cluster, this has already been solved 40 years ago. Holding shift allows you to use the numpad arrow keys temporarily.

Buy it! The XT is an excellent keyboard, weird enough to add character but normal enough to be actually usable. My only gripe is the rather stiff space bar.

Buy it, get a soarers converter, rebind it the way you like it and enjoy!

There are many reasons for the "shipping taking forever", QC is just one of them. It's not like he had a warehouse filled with ModelF's for 5 years and just had to QC and ship them.

Nah the PS5 controller, though nintendo also did copy it. The PS5 controller isn't asymmetric, right? The "Dualsense" (stupid name) for the PS5 has basically the same layout as the "Dual Analog Controller" (great name) from 1997. I just kinda push nintendo into the back of my mind because they suck...

The new case looks absolutely wonderful. I didn't think I would need another keyboard but now I don't know any more.
