oh cool I was wodnering where this turned up. I had a chance to acquire one of these for $107 about a year or so ago, (after I figured out the part number) but passed it up. Good to see it's still in the community. I notice it has the cool bottom pan unlike the 1387033. Do you mind opening the case...

That is so nice, me wants ! I am a fan of 1 part caps myself but the caps you have there look amazing. Personally i would change the stepped F style caps for M ones as i have done on my 122 key. I wonder if ISO conversion is possible on the space-unsaver and 122 , hmm the back plate is in amazing c...

The case itself is quite high, together with the stand this thing is so huge that it seems to lose benefits from the small form factor. I also dislike the angle it creates, it's way to big for my taste but I like my keyboards generally a little bit flatter. The stand simlpy looks like it doesn't be...

I also made a bar style foot http://i.imgur.com/dQ7FHH6.jpg I only wanted to put chamfers on the bottom of the foot, but I am a dumb and did a...

We should have "Like" buttons. Because I don't have anything to contribute but I think this is really cool. What kind of tools did you use? Which parts did you have made? I looked at some of the pictures on GH but a more verbose description would be great. I'm not that craft-savvy. :) Other than a ...

Just thought I'd post this here at DT as well as GH. I'll try to keep this thread updated with info, but the GH thread will always be up to date, sorry DT :( A quick link to the GH thread So I started another bottom with butternut (It's a blonde species of walnut.) Anyways, after extensive testing t...

I believe it's PVC, at least there's a writing saying "PVC" in the back of my model m Hmm, I did try melting some of the shavings in acetone, but nothing happened. So that ruled out ABS and I think PBT This reminds me of the keyboard mod urban legend of the guy who was cutting his case. It generate...

Ouch. Did you use superglue ("cyanoacrylate") ? Superglue is known to break if the glued parts are hit. I would instead use a solvent-based glue. Humbrol's "Poly Cement" in a yellow bottle is what I use the most for gluing small things, but you need a perfect fit. For large things I use "Uhu" plast...

Nice pictures of the chop. It's slimming season for Model Ms right now! http://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/from-model-m-to-60-t6013.html I'd trim it to a TKL, myself, but still to get an M to begin with. Same concept and procedure, you just cut the case a little bit bigger! Good luck finding one an...
