Re: Can somebody help ID these switches?

Here's a little before/after of the keyboard, plus a picture of the board with no caps, and a picture of the whole system (minus printer and gargantuan external power supply).

Re: Can somebody help ID these switches?

This seems to be the exact switch yes! Interestingly the stabilized keys in the alpha-numeric block do have springs under the sliders, but they're the same low profile variant of the switch. Right now I'm cleaning the board up a little bit, but once I get a moment I'll post pics of the keyboard and ...

They are held up the keycaps it seems which have a buckling rubber sleeve around the stem of the cap. I think they feel pretty good, would feel excellent if not for the dirtiness of the...

Once that grime gets on the part of the slider that contacts the housing, then it's game over, your sw...

Re: Thoughts on SMK 2nd gen switches?

They're really good in my opinion. The tactiles are a little bit scratchy, but they make a nice sound and overall have a nice sharp tactility. I like them. The clickies of course are a classic. I have 2 boards with the MX Mount and an Alps Mount board on the way. Very smooth, with a tiny bit of pron...
